I’m surprised, all the time I’m searching in RUclips new songs to learn and Avery time i see your Chanel incredible, I learn the songs Sound of silence, San Francisco and this one on your Chanel, thanks
Alan, Your videos are probably the best on youtube. Very complete, very easy to understand. As I see that you are going out of your way to make everything so explainable, can I give you 1 more tip? I have until now noone see it doing in online guitar lessons: why not film your playing from your point of view? That's how we guitar players ought to see our guitar, not from the front, right? Just a free tip! :-) And thanks for all your hard work! People like you make the world a better place.
Alan Robinson Alan iam a beginner tryin to do California d. It dsnt seems too easy but wit ur help it mey comes out something discerete - such a btfl song a shame not to try..
been playing this song for over 40 years and could never quite get the intro to sound so good until now. your teaching method is by far the best I have found on the net thanks so much . you also cover a lot of the tunes I continue to play in the local music scene where I live. Who says you cant teach an old dog a few new tricks!! Lee
I did not need the second part. The first part was well explained and so clear that even a 7 year old kid could get it.... Good job my friend you have talent 👏👏👏👏 nice song 🎶🎵
Thanks for teaching songs in as easy form as possible which will help even a beginner a solid foundation that they can take from there. Your a hell of a good man !
I've probably doubled my song playing library from your tutorials. Thanks so much for doing all this. Your lessons are really well done and you have done a terrific job with all of them. Keep up the great work. :) And thanks again!
Cheers, you are welcome. You can find a song sheet for this video here: guitartutorman.com/the-mamas-and-papas-california-dreaming/ All the best to you - Alan 😊
Best guitar vdeo + its the kind of music I like. In the past, I tried to play some guitar but while every lesson I had only teached me the chords again and again, but I had issues with the other hand so everything sounded wrong. After a while, I stopped it at all due to that. Everyone told me I'm so unmusical... I just did it up-down-up-down or down-down-down, which gets annoying easily. Your videos contains that glorious information I missed so much back then. I should grab the dusty guitar from the wall, replace the 15 years old strings and try it again...^^
oi, finally, second part of the verse that sounds right. thank you Been on your lessons before, but always forget to come back, you cover all the elements, much appreciated
I'm glad you billed this as "easy-ish". Your teaching system is fantastic, and that helps a lot. But the sort of oddball interjection of the F/C in this song makes it a little hard to follow, plus quick changes involving a barre F always kick the difficulty level up a notch or two, even though I can play a barre F (as opposed to a Bb, which is...well...fuggedaboudit).
Wow. Looking up some of their songs, i found you. got it down. Thanks. I'll be learning this from ya. I like the easy-ish. Works for me. By the way, I've just picked my guitar back up after 23 years. No reason to explain why it took me so long. Just to say, i'm glad I did. Thanks for posting this. One of my faves and never played it before. It's great to play again learning some new songs. Got rather bored with the older ones that I use to play. Still playing them, but there are one or two that I just don't want to play again. Thanxxxx

What a great way to demo a song. Much better than teachers who say "that's the 3rd fret, 4th string ... er, no I mean 4th fret, 3rd string".
Cheers Max :)
Max Cordell I agree. It's a much better way to show hammer-ons and what-not.
Alan, большая благодарность!
Мне эта песня очень нравится, упражняюсь её играть на гитаре и петь!

Chords are pretty easy, but it has unique strumming pattern that gives the song
its signature sound-and that is not so easy. GREAT JOB!!
