All public facing institutions - GB news included - should never allow their presenters to become bigger than the programme or institution they are representing. This rule isn't followed as each institution is competing for the 'draw' and ratings, and thus becomes blind to what is or is possibly happening.

AND there is NO WAY this man is giving the money back... that would mean he has a conscious and cared. Huw ONLY cares for himself and his needs.
The basic fault lies with the management of the BBC, he should have been suspended without pay until his court case had been concluded. If he had subsequently been found innocent he could then been given a payment to compensate him for the time he was suspended. As for his pension, any moneys that he had contributed towards it should be returned to him, and any contributions by the BBC should be returned to the overall pension fund. It is then up to him to invest the money returned to him, and live of that along with his state pension, once he has completed whatever sentence he is given.

Over about 15 years I probably sent about 600 letters to the BBC commenting on program content and not once in all those letters did they accept that I may have a point. Some of the more compelling letters took weeks to answer and were so embarrassing that it was difficult for them to refute. Not like the good old GB News which has never responded to my 100 or so submissions and I doubt if any are read.
