I once ran an rpg campaign based on GATE where a gate opens in Siberia in the late 80s and a whole rogue Soviet army division goes through it after the failed coup. We ended up recreating the Russian empire and had an epilogue where we mauled the JSDF when they showed up. Good times.
I wish more people would make Gate style anime, if there's something i would change tho it'd be for magic to be an actual threat considering it straight up defies physics and science. I feel like the only time i've seen it be a real threat was in Drifters and Arcanum, but Drifters isn't really a Gate style anime imo and Arcanum takes place in a 19th - 20th century fantasy world and not an Isekai.
Still better than the so called "First Best Army" which is mostly all talk no real action, And never dare to take action against the "Second Best Army" and it's mostly "Low level allies". Lol So keep blabbing nonsense.

Dude if there is a All talk its Russians, their Nuclear arsenals are the Sole reason that keeps Russian Siberia from becoming Chinese Siberia.
