My wife didn’t open it to get rich just a hobby more then anything and once your retired you can’t island hop everyday so we sit in the store watch Netflix and wait for our nieces to get off school we were both managers at Walmart so this is nothing compared to that 😊
Nicely done good tour,,live on how much you want to spend as a life style..overall this guy did very well with his costs..thanks for sharing,,if you’re ever up in San Fernando area drop me a message..😊
I moved in a apartment right next to a sari sari store in Angeles city, on the third day I had a break in middle of the night while I was sleeping and they didn’t notice anything 😅… luckily for me the robbers didn’t get inside my bedroom, I just found out in the morning when I woke up and see my main door was wide open and the stole a lot of my things…. But my landlord agreed to let me move out again and got my full deposit and advanced rent back. After that experience I rented a condo in La grande residence with guards and security 24/7 🙏🏽😊
Just wondering is electricity real cheap there? I haven't seen many solar panels on the roofs..I really like the house shown back garden views are fantastic.
Electric bill has went down the last few months and not from anything we did we have two units so we have two meters the bedroom and living room side is on average now 2300 pesos or $46 and we run the bedroom air on all night the sari sari store side is now around 5500 pesos or $110 dollars mainly because of the chillers and freezers and our personal refrigerator. We have inquired on solar panels here and it is an option expensive initially you don’t see a lot here because Deca is really for the lower income families and OFW workers who support their family here hope that helps
I know a few who opened a sari sari store for his filipena wife's family..Now they don't send money and stores do enough to pay bills n make some income..
Hey Chubs. Do you have FB? Would like to chat with you. I am retired marine.. and seen Keith on your video. Is he marine? How can I contact both of you. Will be coming to Angeles soon.
Thanks how embarrassing I fixed it right away, we had just repainted the Balcony and replaced both flags I guess I didn’t pay attention when I hung the new ones thanks!!!!
Yea I mentioned that also in a post yesterday I think some people just don't know the correct way I see it all the time and they get pissed when you correct them. After 20 yrs in the AF I think I know which way it hangs.....cheers :)
Nice setup for him, and gives them something to do. But I would never recommend Deca Clark or having a Sari Sari store. It is a bad idea to start any business that doesn't have a barrier to entry. Anyone can open a Sari Sari Store, and it allows for too much competition. Also, the profit margin is very small, and no true wholesalers to be able to purchase inventory from. A nice hobby but really not a profitable business to the level most Expats would want. Deca Clark just has too many homes, over 4000 total in the whole complex. It is just too large and the houses too close together. Also, the majority of residents are locals, so a very small percent of Expats. The location is far away from most places Expats would want to visit, you would need a car or a motorbike. The positives are they offer 25-year mortgages for the units. It is about the nicest double unit I have seen within Deca Clark, the owners did a great job with it.
Sari sari store is the worst investment in the Philippines. You’ll make 1-5 pesos per item and your gf will spend it faster than you make it. I’ll be honest with you, no investment in the PI is worth your time and money if you’re retired. Your gf will think there’s a bottomless pit for income and you’ll be thousands in the hole every month. Don’t get talked into investing a single dollar in the Philippines, just enjoy your retirement. There’s too much jealousy and envy here to make a profit. Anyone that tells you they’re making a profit is full of poop!!!
I agree the profit is very minimal gives you more of a purpose then anything helping your neighbors and community and since I don’t have a girlfriend but a wife of 36 years who was a Walmart manager she understands the process that’s why we’re still here and lots have opened and closed since ours plus it’s better then some retires who are drunk by 9am 😆
Yes & No, I have a few iron’s in the pot, some make & some break even, but it keeps my lady busy 😆 and I get to go ride 🏍️💨 peacefully 😂 Always keep business separate from relationship, women are emotional, men think in reality 💯
hey man thanks for covering the wheelchair accessible areas for a wheelchair bounded person and i would like to ask you that you did not mention the house selling price you have shown in this video, thanks and keep it up hard work.. 🥰❤
when we were in the Dining room we chatted purchase price of 1.2M each $21,200), but he had drawn it to a payment system of 15k and 16.5k a month 👍 thank you
That's a wonderful simple life. Retire at 40 with a good government pension and live the remaining years in relaxed easy comfort! It's so nice that you get to meet so many nice expats.
Nice PLACE, i like the backyard too.
Wow. They did a fantastic job in using the two units. I'm jealous. Thanks for the tour.
Nice place, the way they renovated it. I feel Deca Clark is a cross between local and Expat living, little of both worlds in that development.
yes it really is 👍
affordable living for all 😁
with a wake board park to boot 😜
I like the guy already, Steelers fan.
36 years married! 👊 They look great, too!!
