I am officially back on the road to re-commence my lap of Australia! This time, I’m setting off with some epic upgrades to my BT-50, including brand-new wheels, rugged tires, and sturdy rock sliders, making my dream touring rig even closer to reality.
The journey starts along the stunning New South Wales coastline, from the picturesque South West Rocks to the vibrant Port Macquarie. I put the new setup to the test, tackling unknown 4WD tracks and cruising along pristine beaches.

Great video Sarah, didn't see any snakes up on the track to the lighthouse? Apparently they sit just to the side of the track and watch everyone walk past, which I found out thankfully after I'd been! Nice easy beach entrances and exits too from Smoky Cape down to Port, all the best wishes for your travels south. Thanks for your capture of our part of Aus

It is starting to get hot in S.a. ATM. The best time is after summer when the first showers happen and things just start to turn green. That is my favorite time.
I love the heat I won’t lie haha but hopefully I’m around the area long enough to experience this !

Beautiful area, was a nice close drive from when i lived in Coffs Harbour. Stayed a weekend at the lighthouse B&B.

Couldn’t agree more !
I had a 2014 BT50 from new, but the motor carked it in 2020 when the fuel system blew a hole in a piston after towing a 3T caravan. The 5 cylinder motors were known for this problem. Got a 200 series LC now and no issues so far touch wood 😊. I believe the 4 cylinder Izuzu models are better now though. Happy travels in the meantime!

Cooper rugged treks are looking good. How did they feel on the sand? Might try and replicate that salmon and salad tomorrow night
Given I was lazy and ran 40psi I don’t know if that’s a good judge but so far I’m loving the tires ! They are handling so well!

Nice video, but when you were chosing your car (BT-50 was a good choice) why did you choose black? that is the worst colour ever! I know from experience plus I sold Mazda cars for years here in Perth, it never stays clean and is the hottest colour.
Thanks ! It does look black but she’s actually blue, I’ve always loved darker cars which isn’t practical but I’m a sucker for aesthetics 😮💨
