I think of it as a great design. I found one of these a few years ago when I was looking at a local Antique and Curio Shop here in Australia. It was the base, in its original box, and despite not having the official charger, I thought it was good value for $19AU. I then purchased an old iPhone to operate with it, and it works brilliantly. I only needed to use a PS3 USB cord to charge it, and it was worth it quite well, given I am a huge fan and collector of smart robotics. I also own a couple of Spheros and a Vector!
