@@tommyrq180 it was not a choice. There was no time for admin to decide anything. The players told to go to the dugout. They are not in frame of the video. It was an impromptu from the crowd. They probably just stayed where they were like everyone else and stood and sang. Since no date or time mentioned if it’s the soft game from years ago the protocol was to sign the first game of the championship and not the rest. Stupid protocol. Glad the crowd took care of it and stood and sang anyway. A tech issue the announcer could have started the crowd off. I know some shy and the words can be complicated to do all on your own but an oh say can you into the microphone would have been nice. The crowd would and did take care of the rest.
They were at the dugout holding their hands over their hearts. The camera goes to the left and you could see them at the end of the video.

There are no laws or regulations that say you must sing the National Anthem at games, graduations etc. There are no laws that prohibit one from singing the National Anthem it’s all voluntary. Notice the ball game went on.

After a short delay, the PA announcer said they were having technical issues and would skip the national anthem and go straight to the game. Well, some of the spectators weren't having it and starting singing the song themselves. Within seconds, the whole crowd was singing it in unison. 2015

The issue wasn't political. The recording of the song could not be played because something broke. It happened at little league games when I was a kid.

During our high school regional tournament the announcer asked the crowd to sing it. It was great 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Originally angry over this I went and found the original footage. The announcer actually says, "Due to technical difficulty we will not play the national anthem." So it was not an unpatriotic or malicious attempt to devalue our anthem, it was a problem with the equipment. Either way though, I am proud of my fellow Americans who sang it anyway and fixed the problem. If you want to hear the actual words from the announcer, its on my channel as well. No need to be upset on this one folks.

This was heartfelt, and TRUE AMERICANS coming together all at once, to be patriotic to our country and our people! We ARE the people, and WILL be heard. This was beautiful. This is how our country used to be, and hopefully soon will be again.
