  • In this video, we delve into the ethereal world of shoegaze, using the versatile Zoom G1xFour multi-effects processor paired with a classic Fender Bassman amp and a Marshall cabinet. We'll explore how to layer textures and create that signature wall of sound that defines the genre.
    Starting with the warm, crisp tones of the Fender Bassman, we add depth and dimension with the Marshall's cabinet's resonant character. The Tube Screamer injects that quintessential drive, pushing our sound into the sweet spot of saturation. To achieve the spacious, dreamlike quality, we'll dial in the perfect blend of hall reverb, ensuring our tone extends far beyond the physical space.
    The final touch, a lush chorus, weaves its magic, giving our shoegaze tone that swirling, liquid quality that's both nostalgic and timeless. Whether you're a seasoned shoegazer or just starting, this video will guide you through each step, ensuring that by the end, you'll have a fully-realized distorted shoegaze tone to lose yourself in.
    So plug in, tune up, and let's create some beautifully blurred sonic landscapes together. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe for more gear explorations and tone tutorials!

      Great thought! Lead tones are very dependent on the genre, but I like the idea. Thanks.

      Pretty much the same! Just adjust for any differences in models on that unit.

    Thanks for your help with the Zoom! I just got mine but I haven't started tweaking with it yet. If you come up with any Jerry Garcia or Buddy Guy patches, please share!

      Have fun with your pedal! Best advice is just keep on experimenting with it! You’ll come up with some great stuff!

      @@GlennThomasTech Quick question! Is there a way to manually delete an effect slot? Like, not turn it off, but clear the slot in the chain? (I can't get either app to work on my old computer.) 🤔

      @GlennThomasTech  9 месяцев назад +1

      @@LonePigsyAndCub you should be able to scroll through the effects, as if you are choosing one, to roll back to an empty slot. For faster scrolling, press and hold one pedal and click the the effect sections with the other pedal. I think the “blank slot” is before the drive pedals if memory serves me. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.
      Have fun!!

      Thanks so much! Appreciate you! I just made ten user patches with just amp, reverb, and speaker sim so I can get a feel for each amp. So far I think I like the Matchless and Bogners (low gain). The real test will be taking it busking this week!
