This still works in 1.20.60! The glitch with dark oak trees removing bedrock has been patched, but you can still do it with 2 x2 jungle tree branches. It takes way longer and is super hard to coerce the branches to go where you want them to, but its is still very possible to remove the necessary bedrock. Did it in a no cheats enabled survival realm.
@@ItsMeJames You need to lower the tree further then the hole dug in the video (I went down about 18 blocks or so), and you need to get the tree to grow up past the portal frame by moving it back a block. But it is 100% possible.
@@OG-qy4hi You need to dig further down then in the video, 15 - 20 blocks, make sure the jungle tree grows past the end portal while trying to get it as close to the portal as possible, and make sure its a 2x2 sapling. The goal is to get the branches to grow in the bedrock. It's quite tricky, but you got it!

Works for Xbox series x,with a few small modifications to make it lag enough for me, double the height of lag machine, change piston clock to a observer clock,add a repeater ,then a red stone torch to invert the signal for the other side . Btw you can also find corners of chuck borders by coordinates divisible by 16 for console players

Unfortunately, as far as I have tested for this farm to work, I am unable to even remove any bedrock with the dark oak trees. I've been at it for over 45 min, and as far as I can tell, the bedrock isn't being replaced by the dark oak logs. Is there any other method to removing bedrock in 1.21 ?
For anyone trying this before it gets patched, yes the tree grows. My mistake which I’m sure many others made was digging one block too far down. The bottom of my portal and sitting on the ground not a block deep like most. Just make sure to count 7 down from the bottom of the lowest bedrock block. Hope this helps
Took a lil wile with the old method.. understatement I got 1 piece and I had to dupe the rest. Tried for 2 hrs. Great explanation and vid on a newer method 😊 keep it up bud.
Hey do you know if it's possible to do this for other unobtainable blocks like Farmland Dirt or Mob Spawners for exampe? Obviously with a different method, I am trying to obtain all the blocks you can find in the creative menu in survival
I built this in 1.20.41 it worked perfectly fine, i had literally no issues, i was worried about breaking the bedrock with saplings but it was super easy and took me 5mins the only annoying part was to fill up the lag machine with water.

@@bronsontester330 you are probably too close to the portal structure. Make sure you went deep enough and you are the correct amount of blocks back. Trees have certain requirements to grow, for example 2 blocks blank space in every direction and 7 blocks tall. Just an example not saying that is the requirements for dark oak. You gotta play with the placement a bit.
no matter how much trees i grow. the bedrock still stands. I haven't broke one bedrock after growing 100 trees underneath the fountain. playing on 1.20.4.
@ItsMeJames it cant be made they seem to have made it so the bedrock is priority over the tree. I planted and broke 14 trees in the spot you showed and not a single one broke a piece of bedrock.
It works, but sometimes the bedrock still respawns and I can't replace the doors. It seems like it is related to the pacing that I preform the actions, but it might just be that I need more lag machine or something I'm not sure
I don't think this machine works on Bedrock Edition of Minecraft. Your lag machine doesn't work. Even if I add more to the device myself, and force my game to lag (sand blocks fall slowly or stop falling all together), the portal just regenerates and breaks my doors immediately, rendering it impossible to break the bedrock. Also, what did you do to see the chunk borders? I see you said something about a "Chunk Pack" that you added to the game? From my understanding, this is something you have to download to get it into your game. If this is true, it may be impossible to add into your game if you are on console (so why you're saying it's possible on Xbox/Switch is confusing). If you have to download anything, this method to get bedrock is impossible on console. I wonder if your lag machine has to be in the same chunk as the bedrock to be able to place it. Me being unable to see the borders could be what's causing the problem. Could you post a link to the Chunk Pack you mentioned?

@@ItsMeJamesi now belive that might be the problem. your machine was not sufficiant in lagging my game so i used a ton of arrows in the water until my fps dropped to about 3, so it was very laggy. But possably rendering was laggy while the ticks wear uneffected, i'll try improving the lag machins for now What are your hardware stats anyway?
As of 1.20.72, it seems like this doesn't work anymore. I broke the portal in creative mode and made the setup + lag machine exactly how you made it, and even though it looked exactly the same as it did in the video (doors bugged out in the same way, etc) no bedrock ended up in the hoppers. I might have done something wrong but I did a ton of tests and the item didn't drop ever. It IS still possible to break bedrock with jungle trees, it is significantly less consistent but definitely possible. I did a ton of testing and the most consistent area that is broken by the branches is a 2 block tall and 2 block wide area that is in line with the saplings, 4 blocks above the dirt level, and 2 blocks away from the tree towards the portal (so there is a 1 block gap between the block you want to break and the closest sapling). Place a roof so there is a 12 block tall air gap above the saplings to have the trees grow their minimum height. From my testing, around 1 in 15-20 trees will break bedrock in the 2x2 area, and 1 in 3 will have the ability to break bedrock on the side of the tree that the portal is on (but its super super inconsistent exactly where it will happen).
@@ItsMeJames for more info on the jungle trees, I did my testing just next to a giant bedrock wall to try to determine the most common blocks broken, so I didn't confirm with the actual portal. I also made a setup with commands that let me grow a ton of trees, without the commands that remove the trees I can see this method taking potentially hours. Also, do you have any idea how I could have messed up the actual bedrock collection part? My only theory is I play on pocket edition and the lag machine was significantly more powerful than it was in your video (even when I turned it off, I had to reload the world to get sand to fall at all). But I tried messing with it and I either got the same result you did in the video except for no bedrock, or the setup didn't work at all. Other than that I've triple checked everything and I can't see any issues.

No, servers like that run java edition (there might be some that run bedrock, but I have never seen one), so all server-side bugs will be from java. Also, people are saying this is patched now anyway.
There is a glitch when you fly in 1.20.30with an elytra And after that when you go near a one block gap it makes you crawl for no reason and its really annoying
@@gamingwithu17110 I know. If you are wearing an elytra and fly into a 1 block gap you will crawl, same thing happens if you have an elytra on and double-tap, because you are now in flight mode.

Jungle don’t work at all I spent so long testing it. It just won’t grow. I tested many ways to.

Hiw do you dupe it. The bedrock grew back. I dont want to remove it again with trees. It is so time consuming. I got 2 bedrock so far
@@nightstrygwyr660 to dupe you need to manipulate the game data by crashing, it sounds complicated so check out some of James dupe methods

There’s a way to find chunk borders by finding coordinates divisible by 16. look into that
I downloaded a texture pack to determine north/west directions its much better than locator map.
Turn on coordinates, if you walk forward and your z decreases in value youre walking north
you get a like and sub cause i dismissed youre video unfairly thinking this farm was full of it
