It really is nice to see! Very rewarding when they fire into life. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 🙂. Just subscribed to your channel, looking forward to watching your videos!
Thanks Paul! They're certainly a bit different! Hoping to have the 1394 video along shortly, im hoping to try to fire it up tomorrow! Thanks for watching.
Great video dave from what I remember of them there is a black button on the dash push key in and press it . Thay have a bolt in compresser I think for air brake on trailer or pumping wheels
Great video Dave, hope the owner will restore it. They were a basic tractor with not much to go wrong but ear protection was a must for working them, the cab wasn't very sound proof. Looking forward to seeing the David Brown back working that could be a real challenge. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Kevin! The zetor will be fixed up. The DB unfortunately is only fit for spares, but I'll definitely fire it up! I'm looking forward to it myself 🙂👌
Love the part about the gloves. I always hate it when in videos on youtube people seem to go out of their way to do things the most unsafe way like wearing absolutely no ear protection, not securing when working in heights and so on. We only got one life, why risk it? Long story short, I like your videos even more now :)
Thanks! No point being a hero and doing things dangerously, especially if someone takes the time to point out a safer way. There's some stuff in videos I cring at, I'll try not to repeat it. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Thanks Richard, the Case should be a good one hopefully. She was sat a long time, with the engine full to the brim with water that came in through the exhaust.
Hi dave, on the zetors, turning the key just operates the lights, there's a separate button on the dash that operates the starter. We've had a few old crystals back a few years ago, keep up the great work dave. All the best from Tony in tipp :)
Thanks Tony! The owner pointed out that one but said he thought it didn't work. I'm going to fix it for him before I finish up there. Nice tractor to work on to be fair. Even single stuff like having a fuel tap for changing filters. Solidly built. Thanks for watching . It was only when editing i noticed the lights coming on 😂
I have one of these at home it's this years restoration project it was my grandfather's. My dad and my 16 Yr old son going to restore it with be. I learnt to drive in it 😅
Thanks Olan. Not the most difficult one ever, but the next one will be even better if I can pull it off! I'm finding more and more stuff thankfully so plenty to follow. Thanks for watching 👍
Hi Dave well done ! I remember those Zetors they weren’t a bad little tractor they had massive cabs with loads of space compared to the Massey or Fords or as you said the Davey Brown ! We were Massey and Ford at home ! I remember a friend of my father who was doing a bit of contracting bought a Zetor Crystal and it broke his heart with break downs he got rid of it after about 18 months!
Thanks Martin. While unconventional compared to the big manufacturers, they seem good. A neighbour ran a lot of crystals contracting. First round baler in the area. He also had Ursus branded ones. Think they had 3 seats in the cab??
I remember my father looked at an Ursus but ended up buying a Ford 7810 from John Kennedy in Ballymeana and importing south to Kildare! We also bought a International 1455 XL from Kennedy’s ! Now I’m exiled in Cork !
Dang dave your videos are getting really good!! That thing runs like a old sewing machine!! Your subscriber count has tripled im so happy for you like you don’t even know man I get so happy when your videos do well, there was a time there were I thought u we’re gonna give up on RUclips and I was pretty sad about that 😢 but now I think your getting it figured out and that’s awesome, im excited to see if u can get the case running cause that thing looks like a mess!! Your looking good dave hope the family is all doing well 😊
Thanks Darrell!! Great to hear from you. I did get a bit disheartened at times alright, it's a hard slog in the beginning. I left a little too much of a gap this time alright so the growth is slower, but its all a learning curve. The Case is pretty bad. I've never seem so much water come out of a dipstick tube 😂😂. It'll get there though. The family are good, hope all is well with you and yours!!
She seemed to fire up easy enough there Dave. Gloves i buy them buy the hundreds big bag of them. It sounds not to bad. There used to be a few old Zetors kicking about up here but the salt used to eat the cabs on them. One of my brother's favourites the Case. Nice one mate 👍
Thanks Mickey! The 1394 is a real challenge. I pulled the dip stick and it took between 5 and 10 mins for the water to drain out! Block was completely full! Didn't get near it yet, things have just been too busy lately, I need to get on it.
Pat, I certainly can. I'm waiting to see if it's going to be split soon to do the clutch. The other thought I had was using two metal plates, front and back of the head, and 12mm treaded bar, sandwich a socket in against the plug
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼……………………………………………….. I don’t understand how equipment can sit neglected so long, but I do live in the country and pass farms with BIG tractors, trucks, etc. that haven’t moved in years. I guess the mind set is they will fix it later or when I get the money and neither ever comes.
Thanks for watching, hope you are well! I guess if something isn't needed immediately it gets pushed to the back of the queue! This one will work again though 🙂👌
Tractor of endurance pity the brakes let them down one of those floor levers is the pto other should be high and low hand brake levers one is pto one is hand brake hard work is what they liked throttle is also stopper
Aaron, it seems to have a separate push button, so far as I can tell its factory as I saw an identical one on another video, but ill certainly try that 🙂. Owner said the button stopped working. Thanks for the tip 👍 👌
Great video Dave looking forward to next video
Thanks Mark, glad you enjoyed it 👍
Quality video
Thanks Rick!!
Great stuff, thanks
Thanks again Dan 🙂👍

Thanks for gloving up. Sometimes it takes getting used to but its worth it most times.
Another good project, thank you for bringing us along
Hey Clinton, always great to hear from you! They do make a big difference, though my hands sweat buckets in them. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Good video,it started easy enough, they were a good tractor.
Thanks Colman, she was an easy one to be fair. The next one hasn't proved as easy 🤣. Thanks for watching
Love to see that major running
Ill certainly do my best. Id love to see it saved.
Brilliant video really enjoyed it good friend of ours has a 5211 which would be the more modern version of the 4911 👍
Thanks Paul! They're certainly a bit different! Hoping to have the 1394 video along shortly, im hoping to try to fire it up tomorrow! Thanks for watching.
Yes it is its and got more hp
Good video again Dave always enjoy watching them 👍
Thanks Martin! Working on a few interesting ones so stay tuned. The next one is a real challenge 🙂
Great video dave from what I remember of them there is a black button on the dash push key in and press it . Thay have a bolt in compresser I think for air brake on trailer or pumping wheels
Thanks Willie. There is a button on the dash but it didn't seem to work. I must fix it. Interesting about the compressor 🙂👍
Good work Dave smoothest sounding engine to date
Beautiful sound off it already, really soft sound to it too. The 1394 is going to be fun! Thanks for watching Rob 👍.

Great stuff Dave, looking forward to your next video 👍
Thanks Brian!
Great video, love old Zetors!👍🏻
Thanks Kevin!! Nice tractor to be fair 👍
Runs lovely Dave 👍
Certainly does Jim, a lovely engine. A small bit more run time and I'm sure it would be even sweeter! Thanks for watching.
Another tractor to restore! Congratulations on 3k subscribers, really got up to speed now!
Thanks Nils! Hope all is well in Sweden 🙂. This one was easy, the next one is proving a challenge
Hi dave .good job looking forward to the case 👍
Thanks Richard, the Case should be a good one hopefully. She was sat a long time, with the engine full to the brim with water that came in through the exhaust.
You do like a challenge 😅👍
@@richardpower1798 I enjoy the hardship 😂😂

Put in new oil filter. Bleed the pump. Good battery. Of course it will start 😊
😂😂😂
Another great one
Thanks Ants! Hope all is well buddy.

@@davesworkshop2714 yeah some of the later ones were ok ! But the Ursus had a Perkins engine
@@martinbrennan4270 never knew that about the Ursus. I suppose they were trying to appeal more to the western European market.

@@martinbrennan4270 the 7810 is a superb tractor to be fair! Far worse places to be than Cork 🙂😂👌. I had a very sheltered up bringing, Ford or Ford 😂

Those 3cyl engines were well regarded i knew of 5245 that went round the clock and just carried on 😊
A very soft running engine, if you get my drift. Really surprised by how quiet it is.

Great video 🤠
Thanks KT 🙂👌
Another good video Dave
No doubt you'll get them other tractors running
What about the cat did you get a bucket sorted?

Good to see the gloves, vast majority of mechanical lads go through cancer
Andrew, a few viewers pointed out the dangers a few videos back so I made a point of using them. Plus I was sick of stinking of diesel.
will y do a video on fitting a frost plug at the back of the cylinder head
Pat, I certainly can. I'm waiting to see if it's going to be split soon to do the clutch. The other thought I had was using two metal plates, front and back of the head, and 12mm treaded bar, sandwich a socket in against the plug

Thanks for the information Howard 👍. Totally different to anything I've worked on before. I was also shocked by how quiet they are ticking over.
I would like to find yolks like that to work on as I am now retired and need a pastime
It's funny, can be hard to find them sometimes, then they just appear. The owner of this one is looking forward to getting it back on the road.
She would have went first go if you gave her a bit of diesel
Most of the people who record them are from czech republic
Really popular tractors over here 🙂
I think you need to just push the key to start
Aaron, it seems to have a separate push button, so far as I can tell its factory as I saw an identical one on another video, but ill certainly try that 🙂. Owner said the button stopped working. Thanks for the tip 👍 👌
