Splendid review & comparisons, Tony! 😃👍🎶🎵 Ordered the QoA Adonis New on sale earlier this month. Waiting for delivery (delayed by postal strike in Canada). Thank You & Best Wishes!
finally...I was waiting for you to review this set, great review btw. quick question: I am very interested into ivipq iq-14 and this Adonis New, in your opinion how would they compare to each other?...I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance
The IQ-14 Shanhai (not a typo) is tremendous. It takes head on and well aimed pot-shots at my two vastly more expensive ($299 each) 3DD Penon Serials. In most respects the IQ-14 corrects the shortcomings of the Serial (sluggish bass driver, lack of air and extension in the high end, so-so imaging, rather closed-in soundstage) at a ridiculously low price. The IQ-14 is one of my favourite new launches of 2024, irrespective of price. What surprises you the most about the IQ-14 is the quality of the driver covering the upper register - it really adds an extra special sparkle. And way more coherent than for example the disastrous 3DD UM3DT "Terminator" that's been around for several years now but is still a $300 set with totally wonky crossover implementation. I've bought 3 sets of the IQ-14 and with good reason (BTW you can ask the team to swap out the cable, in my case I went for the modular cable from the V13). Funnily enough I ordered the Adonis New (or 'Adonis 2') "cold" last week and I gotta say this review from Akros (thank you!!!!!) comes as an ENORMOUS relief (still in transit, so I can't give A/B testing thoughts just yet). Ended up paying around £90 including taxes which still compares very favourably with the best available price today on AliExpress Black Friday deals.
My impressions thus far has been it's tuning is similar to the Legato, except mud-free, with all related detail gains. That said I need to spend more time with them. 😅
Adonis is similar to Relentless bass and mid wise....overall I like Adonis more. As for Phoenixcall they are opposites so good complements to eachother
I'll wait for the QoA Mimosa release to see how it does and decide whether to get the Adonis or the Mimosa, and yes the Phoenixcall is a nice complement to the Relentless.
@MalcriadoAudioLover well Mimosa and Adonis are two different approaches. I'm sure Mimosa will be good , but I think it's more a side grade than a upgrade.
@@Igor-ou2tx very different IEM They share the similarities of being easy to listen and highly musical with excellent bass.... but the EST has extra detail retrieval....little more air... soundstage and better imaging. Look the truth is both are excellent IEM, Qt different prices and categories. If say EST will have a longer longevity and will be more relevant for a longer period of time.
@@themilk3 Adonis has an phenomenal bass in my opinion.....it truly is for me a stand out. Neo 3 is more balanced , but the price extra that it costs does not do enough to justify itself. It's perhaps a little more balanced but it's relative as it depends what you listen too. Look it's a hard comparison to do as I like them both, but if I could have only one....Adonis.
@akros9333 I would also like to ask, and I know the Adonis new is more expensive, what are your thoughts on the Adonis new vs ivipq IQ-14? You mentioned it’s a mini serial and that got me very interested if I can get that bassy lush sound for cheaper and upgrade later.
MP145 is one of the best Planar out there..... does planar magic....soundstage ...imaging ....detail retrieval really well....Adonis has this Bass.....like im truly impressed..... Hard hard choice....what is your music library like? ado i
I just wish i had more money😊
You are on a roll❤😊
Great video akros 😊

Great review Akros! The Adonis 2 looks fantastic. How does it compare to the Explorer? thanks for all your hard work.
I'm thinking about buying Adonis New, but I already have Relentless and phoenixcall, do you think it would be a good addition or not?

@@akros9333 yes of course, I say it has to be one after the other because I still have to feed the children haha💸💸
Hi Akros, can you please briefly compare with isn est50? Thank you

How would the Adonis new compare to the ISN Neo 3?

@themilk3 well that's an easy answer.....for the 60usd the IQ-14 costs currently......get it.....it's a fantastic IEM.
