- Omniman is the First Contender of the Kombat Pass 1. He hails from a TV Series called invincible and plays the role of a tyrannical version of Superman. His conquest extends into the MK-Universe and the Kombatants are NOT Happy with his presence.

Geras is probably one of the characters who could get the better of omniman, time stop is OP and he has an eternity of attempts just to win once. A lot of the titans and elder gods could probably humble him as well
@Fork-a-nature There are quite a few OP characters, but for some reason we never see them using their full potential or even a little of it. Probably because they realized some are too OP for the actual story to go very long
Like most characters could hold their own in the Invincible universe since it's pretty much the DC Universe. Omni-Man himself is just Superman level.
Like Shang Tsung can completely copy abilities. Imagine if he managed to copy Omni-Man.

I like how so many of his intros are almost like, extending a bit of mercy? Like saying to Smoke, just drop a smoke bomb and go home, implying he'd just not stop him from doing so. I like it.
I read it as more like contempt, that they're too weak to make an interesting challenge, and killing them is just wasting his time.
People often talk about how this is the biggest difference between Omniman and Homelander. Omniman is callous and condescending, but not bloodthirsty; Homelander actually enjoys causing pain, and kills even when it's actively detrimental to him

It's poor directing.
He's an incredible fucking actor, but it's clear certain line reads were poorly directed; he says things in ways that are slightly wrong for the situation they're used in, but would be perfectly valid for other variations of the line's usage that aren't very hard to imagine.
This tells me, and likely anyone else who has ever worked in the relevant industry, that he's being poorly directed and/or not given the necessary information to effectively read in-context.
Often actors don't get to know the context of the line they're reading, especially for larger studio work; good directors are meant to get around this because *they* know what the actor is embodying and can direct an equivalent performance.

@@trollking6315 Really in terms of MK characters that could probably take on Omni-Man, you got Titan Shang Tsung, Fire God Liu Kang, Geras, OG Shao Kahn, Onaga, and I wanna say Hanzo’s Scorpion. Mainly because as a revenant, he’s basically unkillable with pure physical means and he has a usage of hellfire. And extreme heat in particular is one thing Omni-Man’s race has a lot less durability for. That and teleportation can aid with keeping up with Omni-Man’s speed.
@kaijuslayer3334 According to the comics, Mark was able to fight the leader of the viltrum empire in the sun. Sure, it wasn't for an extended amount of time. But heat isn't their biggest weakness if it takes the power of a sun to affectively kill one of the viltrumites. A stronger being is the only way. Unless you count stealing souls.. in that case? yeah, omni man would lose.

I think gods like Liu Kang trivialise him because they can literally erase timelines. But I think people need to remember the dude is just one guy of an entire army of viltrumites. Just one of them is craaaazy strong.

In my opinion, NRS did a fantastic job with Omni-Man! Everything about him in this game is pure perfection - his design as a 3D model, his moveset, his special, his brutalities, his fatalities, his ending, his fight intros and outros, his character dialogues, not to mention J.K. Simmons’ *flawless* line delivery - they absolutely NAILED Omni-Man in every way. He might just be my favorite MK guest character of all time.
The thing with Omni man is that he’s not egotistical. As part of a race of interplanetary tyrants, he KNOWS he’s stronger. He speaks to them as if they were ants whos only purpose is for him to conquer or stomp out of existence.
When it is proven that your species in superior in every conceivable way, it is kind of hard to care much about compromise.
Put Omni man against Stryker and Stryker humbles him hard

Actually, Vaeternians do not need to feed on blood but it is the consumption of blood that ensures them immortality. Since the coven (basically the government) discovered that, they forced everyone to feed on blood. Now Caeternus is overpopulated since there’s still births but no deaths. The corrupted coven, obsessed with immortality is bringing their species to to extinction. Nitara’s research for a source of blood is legitimately only motivated by the good of her people. But hopefully, it’s only a matter of time before she realizes the problem that the current coven represents.

@NinjaMinkzx I think you might misunderstand what absolute zero is. It is significantly colder than the open vacuum of space. We are talking physics defying levels of cold. If Omni-Man can survive that he's not just invincible he's indestructible on a near quantum level. As in "the universe exists and Omni-Man is in a fixed state within it, comparable to a law of physics"

There's no way to actually reach Absolute 0 without power from another universe to take all heat from a given point for sustained amounts of time, but he's not going to just explain that for time and practicality sake.

Also, Also, power scaling doesn't really exist in mk. Whoever's chapter it is, they're winning the fight no matter what, which is why you can't really take those fights seriously.
As people are saying a few comments over, Omni-Man is leagues higher in super-strenght,speed and durability than most character, but the inhabitants of the MK universe have magic and supernatural powers beyond what he has fought, and characters like Geras or Onaga can actually give him a run for his money.

Omni-Man isn't Superman. If a fully prepared Guardian of Globe can take him down (comic) then fully prepared Liu Kang and his chosen fighters can as well.
