I've driven this exact model, and although it isn't as physically appealing as the m-sport models, it is a great drive. The acceleration of this model is really good too, and if you're on a budget for a BMW, this is a good buy.

I had a 320i xdrive 2013 that I loved to bits. However my commute became short so I swapped for a 1.5 2017 civic which I also love but it misses that bmw charm

Mittelspurschleicher, die linken Spuren sind nur zum überholen da. Man kann auch mit 180km/h auf der rechten Spur fahren, wenn alles frei ist. Die A1 ist breit genug.

wie fandest du die Leistung? Sieht flott aus, aber haut mich nicht vom Hocker und angestrengt klingt der Motor beim hochdrehen auch?! Fahre E91 330D, klar sind 250 PS was anderes aber überlege als Nachfolger auf den G zu gehen in 2-3 Jahren
Kannst du was über den Verbrauch sagen, sagen wir mal als durchschnittsfahrer nicht lansgam nicht schnell und viel Tempomat, sind 7 l oder weniger drin?
Hi, der Motor ist schon vollkommen in Ordnung. Klar, wenn du von einem 3 Liter 6 Zylinder kommst dann wird dich das nicht vom Hocker hauen, aber es ist mehr als ausreichend. 7 Liter/100km sind im EcoPro Modus möglich und vorausschauender Fährt möglich.
Do You know Whether this cars engine has 2.0 or not. In some countries you can see the same 320 i with 1.6 engine.

Better do your test without any music. Music level is too high and after that difficult to understand what is right level of engine and car. Some words in the begining will also hepls to put right livel of sound.
What's your opinion on the chassis? Was it too hard? I've recently driven a 318i G20 and it was bumpy as hell. Very uncomfortable.

Wichtigerweise fährt sich der neue 3er komplett anders als der 5er. Der 5er ist faktisch ein ganz anderes Auto! Der 3er ist ein hochagiles, extrem weniges Fahrzeug, der 5er ist eigentlich ein sportlicher Siebener. Man sollte mal beide Fahrzeugklassen gefahren sein, um wirklich den Unterschied zu begreifen. Ich persönlich war baff, wie weit sich beide Autos in der Auslegung unterscheiden. Ich präferriere ganz klar den 5er - aber das ist natürlich Geschmackssache.

Hat der keine variable Sportlenkung? Du musst bei den langsamen Kurven zu Beginn ja heftig viel einlenken...
Beim neuen 3er scheinen sie echt was an der Geräuschdämmung gemacht zu haben, bedenkt man, dass der Vorgänger doch ziemlich laut war, wenn man ihn mit der Konkurrenz vergleicht.
Is it slow? I find a lack of power, this 184bhp engine need to rev above 3 or put to sport mode. Else it feels slower than the Audi A4 2 litre engine
Torr HTHC I got one last month after dithering for a while between this and 330i. Having driven X1 18d before this feels like a rocket and is absolutely enough power for any occasion. I’ve taken it on highways and have not had an issue with power even once. I feel it punches well above it’s weight. I speced mine quite heavily instead of going for a more punchy engine as I thought this would be enough and it really, really is. 99% of cars on the road are way slower than 320i anyway. If I find myself wanting more I’m going to chip it - it tunes quite easily to 240-260 hp range without putting strain on the engine (it’s virtually the same engine as 330i).
@@bartomiejsarna5571 I felt the same during the test. 20i was fast enough and faster than my VW Golf VII 1.4 TSI - 140 hp. But I surpriced that suspension felt defects of road more than my VW Golf. I had on the test 17 wheels. Pressure was 2.4 on all. I change to 2.3 and became better. I think 2.2 will the best. And 17 size like optimal for comfort and quite well beauty. I think so.

Would rather consider the diesel if you want faster 0-100 and a better fuel efficiency

@@mirofin diesel 320d is okay but isn't imo as good a car unless you do mostly long motorways only.
The petrol has a quieter engine when cruising, at traffic speed it is less jerky when slow moving traffic and also has a much nicer sound when putting your foot down. Also no particulate filter to clog up if you do short journies mostly
The diesel has great fuel economy though and the engines should last longer.
The speed is similar but remember the xdrive makes the car feel slower because it is.
I just bought a 2018 320i sport and had a loaner 320d 2019 xdrive msport for three days while it got some servicing. The petrol was much nicer to drive in town and better sounding when you get on it.
This car replaced a 231hp RX8, so maybe if you swap to a 320d from a ford Mondeo it's not as bad
@@mirofin interestingly the petrol is the faster car when tuned as the 320d tunes to about 220-230hp and the petrol b48 is 250-260hp.
The 0-100 is the same also from stock but the diesel has better in gear acceleration

How you find the handling of the car, particularly at high speed and in corners, on this standard suspension and 16 (17?) inch wheels? Is it good enough to perform fast and feel safe or would You go for larger rims or M package?

You can chip tune it from 184HP and 300Nm to 270HP and 400Nm, so your 320i becomes 330i ;)
Are you specifically talking about BM3 mod and a downpipe to reach that level?

Und selbst, wenn der 3er noch klein wäre, so sollten 22 Jahre Fortschritt dafür aussreichen dennoch den selben Komfort zu ermöglichen! Soviel Evolution erwarte ich von einem Hochtechnologiekonzern aus einem Hochtechnologieland!

Ein 3er ein 3er und ein 5er eben ein 5er. Ich erwarte dass der neue 3er g20 natürlich komfortabler ist als ein 3er e30, aber gleich komfortabler als ein 5er e39? Das wäre zu übertrieben. Ein 7er e38 ist ja auch immer noch einen Tick komfortabler als ein 5er g30. 7er bleibt nun mal ein 7er und 5er ein 5er. Vielleicht ist in weiteren 30 Jahren dann ein neuer 3er komfortabler als ein alter 5er ?😉

Diesel is the way to go if you don't live in a country where they remove diesel cars year by year based on emissions. I'm in Belgium and I'm considering getting a petrol car just because they're removing diesel cars every 2 years based on emissions class. I've driven both diesel and petrol cars with similar engines and i can tell you for sure diesel ones go faster, they feel like they have more power, plus they're more fuel efficient.

Also ich hab beim G20 ja sehr gemischte Gefühle. Einerseits ist er technisch gut entwickelt und auch schön zu fahren aber optisch finde ich ist er bis jetzt der schwächste. Sowohl äußerlich wie innerlich.
Der Abstand zum G30 ist gigantisch! Es sind tatsächlich Welten zugunsten des G30!
Nur als M340i mit dem schönen B58. Das Basis Modell sieht schon etwas peinlich aus mit diesen kleinen Felgen. M Sport Paket kann ich nur jedem empfehlen! Ich warte allerdings auf das neue 4er Gran Coupe und solange fahre ich mein 440i F36.
