I'm looking into this now that my WX5 is dead, after 20 years of playing on it with the Patchman Music Turbo chip on the VL70M. I need the YDS-150 to have bad ass synth sound for my fusion group like the Vl70M had. Will be looking for the synth sound demos, but it looks like there is hope with what that app can do
Cool thanks
Hello. What would be the setting in the App to achieve the most similar sound to a real alto sax?
How do I factory reset to out of the box fingering ?
hello tou can remap all notes to match clarinet fingering? thanks
Unfortunately no
Can you turn off the vibrato? Will this thing let you create vibrato with your embouchure like on a real sax? I have the YDS-120, which is essentially the same thing without the brass bell and no bluetooth (which isn't a problem for me), but I've never been able to turn off the vibrato.
If I'm remembering correctly, you can turn off the vibrato, but you can't create vibrato like a real sax
Not finding much about how would one use it to operate a midi devices of another sound generator synth?
Unfortunately, it will not operate another synth because it does not have 5 pin midi.
Kinda late, but you CAN use it with USB MIDI into a DAW and control virtual instruments with it. I'm doing it now with the YDS-120. I think you can do it with Bluetooth on the 150.
The app does not work with android. I think Yamaha should review this situation.
What issues are you having? In this video I am using an Android phone with no problems.
