I’m 62 years old and you don’t know me from a hole in the wall, but I am just compelled to tell you how proud I am of you for putting yourself together every day. You don’t need a full face of make up pulling your hair back in a nice neat way in your hair clip like you have it today just makes you look put together and confident in yourself and I’m just so proud of you because it brings me joy to see you taking care of yourself. I am cheering you on from the balcony.
I don't comment on your videos very often, but I do watch each one and I love seeing you and your family. For not only the love you have for each other, but for loving the Lord and your followers. Plus you have so many wonderful and God fearing followers so because of that I know I can come here and ask for prayers. My husband passed away a week ago from a massive stroke. Only as a suggestion. I came up with this after my 4th baby was born. I was very emotionally attached to my kids paper works- but my A-type persona could not deal with a refrigerator covered in random size everything. lol my 4 kids now use this same method for their children. If this works for you great if not that’s great too🎉. It is: show it, stow it, or throw it. To begin each child gets a bulletin board in their room and a rubber maid container. Noting goes on my frig. lol they can SHOW their work on their b.board as long as it fits within the frame. When full they must decide (depending on age with or without my help) what comes off b. Board to special box (tub) or trash. Something came home and went directly to special box. Idea is all things have 3 places they can be. Once special box gets full we together went through it talked about each item - laughed and had great stories then decide what goes bc we know more is coming. Learning to prioritize and discernment early beginnings. Once married with own homes (with basements or attics) they were given possession of their special box. 🎉🎉🎉 our family plan. BTW: love your channel. ❤
Your second living room would be a wonderful library room. Bookshelves along the wall that is shared with your room, but with cabinets along the bottom for closed storage. Maybe an electric fireplace, some cozy seating and you could still have a TV in there.
I love watching you and Shane just chatting with each other while you were decluttering. And it is just the sweetest thing when he refers to us as one of our friends. I love seeing all your kids books! I am such a book worm. One of my reading goals this year is to reread all the Little House books. Tell the kids we can buddy read them!
I think that with the love of books your family shares….you could turn the room adjoining the kitchen into an amazing library/ reading room. I’d line the walls with bookcases or floating wall shelves. A few conversation lounge areas, a few floor pillows for sitting and reading, cozy layers of rugs on floor. Do some image searches for reading rooms, family library, or cafe style reading room. I’d do an island style long bench that has a soft padded seat top that you could seat several people or one could lay on it and read. Just create like 3 areas for sitting and reading surrounded by soft fabrics, cozy seats, and book lined walls.

Sister I’m so glad you are scatter brained, I don’t feel alone, I would so love to be one of those people who wake up to a spotless home and I want to feel motivated to get up every morning and just dust and vacuum and straighten things up, and things look fresh and clean, my job works me Monday -Friday from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm so my house can get put on hold, especially this time of year, I have seasonal depression as soon as I get off work at 6:30 I’m ready to eat and go to bed, if you guys can pray for god to give me the desire to just get up and clean when I get time. I would greatly appreciate it ❤
I had to stop Walmart grocery pickups and start going back in the store myself. When you said it was a weird grocery pick up my jaw dropped. Ours got so weird that I was getting a bit worried about consuming any of the food. I did a Walmart home delivery one time and one time only, the girl pulled into my driveway, opens her trunk and went through all my bags before bringing them to the door. She took all my health and beauty items. Each and every one of them. I don’t mind helping people if they ask or are in real need but dang, don’t just help yourself. Anyway, great video 🫶🏻

Merina, please pray for me as I have foot surgery on the 24th of this month and major back surgery on the 31st of this month. I have a hard fibroma on the bottom of my foot and my back has a disc that is bulging that is laying on nerves running down mt left leg. I'm enjoying your videos as it's keeping my mind off my pain. I LOVE the idea of "everything having a home". I wish I knew how to get there. We've lived in a small house (less than 1k sq ft) for 12 years (with a very poor layout). We have accumulated so much junk. You're house is such a dream.

I think it’s wonderful your children have a library. I didn’t get books as a kid, grew up to love to read. Tried to get my kids into reading. No matter how hard I tried, it was not a win.
I have always drug everything out and stacking in the middle of whatever room and then go through each item, like you do. That is the only way it will work for me. I grew up in the Boxcar children era. I wanted to live in a boxcar so, so bad!! I wanted to go hunting for curtains, etc. Brings back fun memories. Great video.

Hi Rina, I have enjoyed your videos. I just had to put my baby dog down Friday. She was a miniature long haired dachshund named Agnes (she looked very much like your baby). She was 11 but had Cushings Disease. She'd gotten to where she couldn't even get up ... I had to pick her up and set her on her feet to get her going. :'( I've mourned all weekend. Remember me in your prayers.
We got that snow this past Friday and Saturday in middle Tn. Can you donate some books or sell them to a bookstore after y’all have read them. Pass them on for others to read and enjoy. Wheel TN here. I love that u are doing ornaments. I made mini stockings for each of my 7 children. Starting 33 years ago. Lol we hang them every year on the tree. Needless to say I have made all kinds of things over the last 35 years for my tree many with my kids. Makes decorating a trip down memory lane every year.
You are giving your children the greatest gifts, books! I know you don’t always do things ‘right’, but your children are polite, happy, full of fun and well read….trust me, you’re doing great. xxx
We always had a large memory bin for each of our kids and gave to them when grown for them decide what to keep. You may want to keep some of the younger books for future grandchildren.

Great Smoky Mountains Railroad in Bryson city North Carolina . Theres a outdoor play called ( Unto These Hills) theater production. Its about the Cherokee Indians. I know you would love to go with your children. Please take us along when you visit on utube. Theres also Ghost Town,Maggie Valley Cherokee NC. You get to ride on a 1,250 ft elevation sky lift. Theres a amusement park on the top. I know these were such wonderful memories for me as a child and i know your children would love to go.

My husband has been working in TN in the snow storms and blizzards doing clean up work there. The snow is pretty but quite difficult to travel in. There were several bridges out and lots of trees down they had to clear. Stay safe! ❤
Love your recipe ideas. Just made the best chicken soup (it's actually thicker and almost a stew) today. Picked up a rotisserie chicken yesterday and sliced up some breast for sandwiches. Cubed the rest of the meat and put the chicken carcass in a pot with some water, simmered for about an hour. Pulled the carcass out and put in a pan to cool while I added a box of chicken broth to the broth in the pan along with 2 diced potatoes, 2 large diced carrots, a cup of chopped celery and 1 diced onion. Simmered that in the broth along with a box mix of chicken flavored long grain and wild rice that I got at Aldi's. Simmered for an hour and added 1 tsp of Meijer chicken seasoning. It's delicious and easy. Oh, I picked the remaining chicken off the carcass and added that. You could add any veggies you like to it.
Merina, great progress with the declutter/organization. It's great that your children are readers. I hated to read when I was young. I have dyslexia. I had a very hard time learning to read. Back in the early 1960's it wasn't really recognized or dealt with the way it is now. But when I was in the fourth grade I read a biography of Henry Clay that for some reason clicked with me. From then on I loved to read. I'm still a slow reader, as letters and words sometimes enter my brain scrambled and I have to reread words or sentences a couple of times before I understand what is being communicated. Fortunately, my reading retention is very good. I'm glad you all have had time to enjoy your snowy weekend! ❤ God Bless

Girl you have me doing this! I have myself and my husband in our home and then i have 2 of my daughters and their husbands and 3 grandsons living with us.. so much stuff! I do keep a clean house but 3 littles in the house can cause alot of clutter! Thank you so much for getting me going!❤❤
Through my many years of being married I have discovered that the more things you have the bigger mess you can have. So you are doing good my friend keep up the good work. Hi Rina, I have enjoyed your videos. I just had to put my baby dog down Friday. She was a miniature long haired dachshund named Agnes (she looked very much like your baby). She was 11 but had Cushings Disease. She'd gotten to where she couldn't even get up ... I had to pick her up and set her on her feet to get her going. :'( I've mourned all weekend. Remember me in your prayers.
We just had to put our 16 year old chihuahua down and my heart is broken so I DO understand your pain and understand what you are feeling.

We got that snow this past Friday and Saturday in middle Tn. Can you donate some books or sell them to a bookstore after y’all have read them. Pass them on for others to read and enjoy. Wheel TN here. I love that u are doing ornaments. I made mini stockings for each of my 7 children. Starting 33 years ago. Lol we hang them every year on the tree. Needless to say I have made all kinds of things over the last 35 years for my tree many with my kids. Makes decorating a trip down memory lane every year.

We always had a large memory bin for each of our kids and gave to them when grown for them decide what to keep. You may want to keep some of the younger books for future grandchildren.

Great Smoky Mountains Railroad in Bryson city North Carolina . Theres a outdoor play called ( Unto These Hills) theater production. Its about the Cherokee Indians. I know you would love to go with your children. Please take us along when you visit on utube. Theres also Ghost Town,Maggie Valley Cherokee NC. You get to ride on a 1,250 ft elevation sky lift. Theres a amusement park on the top. I know these were such wonderful memories for me as a child and i know your children would love to go.

My husband has been working in TN in the snow storms and blizzards doing clean up work there. The snow is pretty but quite difficult to travel in. There were several bridges out and lots of trees down they had to clear. Stay safe! ❤

Love your recipe ideas. Just made the best chicken soup (it's actually thicker and almost a stew) today. Picked up a rotisserie chicken yesterday and sliced up some breast for sandwiches. Cubed the rest of the meat and put the chicken carcass in a pot with some water, simmered for about an hour. Pulled the carcass out and put in a pan to cool while I added a box of chicken broth to the broth in the pan along with 2 diced potatoes, 2 large diced carrots, a cup of chopped celery and 1 diced onion. Simmered that in the broth along with a box mix of chicken flavored long grain and wild rice that I got at Aldi's. Simmered for an hour and added 1 tsp of Meijer chicken seasoning. It's delicious and easy. Oh, I picked the remaining chicken off the carcass and added that. You could add any veggies you like to it.

It's great that your children are readers. I hated to read when I was young. I have dyslexia. I had a very hard time learning to read. Back in the early 1960's it wasn't really recognized or dealt with the way it is now. But when I was in the fourth grade I read a biography of Henry Clay that for some reason clicked with me. From then on I loved to read. I'm still a slow reader, as letters and words sometimes enter my brain scrambled and I have to reread words or sentences a couple of times before I understand what is being communicated. Fortunately, my reading retention is very good.
