That song means a lot to me I don't get in trouble anymore but I did five and a half years in a Texas prison then we sang that song there were so many of us singing it so loud it was so inspiring and when you're in prison you wish you could just fly away
This was my Mother's favorite. I can remember her singing it all my life. She sang it upbeat and happy. We requested it at her funeral and the lady that sang it sang it slow and like a sad song. I remember thinking "Pick it up. It is a happy song."
