Exploring the DOLOMITES (Part 4) - Lago di Sorapis

Lago di Sorapis via Passo Tre Croci is a "must do" hike in the Dolomites. I would say this is a difficult hike, but well worth it!! The milky turquoise water surrounded by the jagged peaks is stunningly beautiful! Be sure to go early, as this hike gets very crowded. Someone mentioned in a trail review that at least 500 people were on the trail when they hiked. I found that hard to believe! I was definitely proven wrong in my assessment. On our way back down the trail, we passed a minimum of at least 300 people hiking towards the lake. My advice is go EARLY and take some time to enjoy a snack or lunch at the lake!
