The 9 box on the dashboard is limited to show 10 employees on each box and then you will need to manually scroll with an option to change number on yellow colored field prior to each box in the current version of the template to view employees more than 10. The performance category, is used when you have large number of employees under one performance category. You can select any performance category from the 9 categories to view upto 40 employees at a time under the selected category. Best wishes.
Love this and the template if fantastic. I have question. For rating of Performance or Potential, our organization use numbers instead of levels like Moderate, Low etc. Can that be changed in the template or manually entered?

The simplest way is by adding a column to enter the rating in numbers then we can write a if condition formula to convert it to low, moderate and high in the existing X and Y axis column like 1 = Low, 2 = Moderate, 3 = High or like 1-4 = Low, 5-6 moderate, >6 high. How can we identify potential, we can identify performance by the ratings but potential if asked by manager can be baised as well

Also, can I delete one of the columns (business unit) or would that mess up the data?
Deleting a column might impact the sheet's calculation. Hence its advisable to hide the unused columns instead of deleting the same.
