To understand Nowhere Man Cim, you need to understand John Lennon's frame of mind in the autumn of 1965. By then the Beatles had amassed such fame and fortune that John was forced to invest his earnings, or lose them to the confiscatory tax laws in Great Britain at the time. So John bought an estate in the stockbroker belt in Weybridge, about 17 miles outside of London. John, Cyn and young son Julian could live relatively peaceful lives away from the mania that was the Beatles lives in London. . It also isolated John. He discovered Jaffa Cakes and put on quite a bit of weight. Feeling alone, and overweight he decided one morning to write a song, but got nowhere with his efforts. Frustrated he went and had a lie down. Lying their and contemplating his life, John realized he had become a "Nowhere Man, sitting in his nowhere land". The rest of the song came very quickly after that. Best wishes Hun, RNB
When someone asks me what is your favorite Beatles song (which is most difficult) I often say Nowhere Man. Loved it the first time I heard it in 1965 ! Must of heard this song over 60 times and still can't get enough of it !!!! Thanks Cimdy for all YOU Do !!!!!
I like the way you look for information about the song before you listen to it. And of course, how respectful you are regarding the songs. It’s often difficult to know exactly what you think of a song - even a Beatles song, after hearing it only once. So unless it’s ‘Run For Your Life,’ (-‸ლ). it’s best to keep an open mind. Another very popular reactor listened to ‘Yesterday ‘as his first Beatles song, was disappointed in it, but decided to give them another chance by listening to ‘Come Together’ and announced he’d changed his mind about them. 🙄 Lucky Beatles. You’re the only Beatles reactor who checks out the history of the songs, which is why I subscribed to you.
The way you just absorb EVERY WORD AND NOTE IS AWESOME!!! I ENVY YOU!! AMAZING YOUNG LADY!!!! IM 70 YRS OLD AND HAVE LIVED THRU ALL THIS MUSIC YOU REACT TO, AND OF ALL THE REACTORS OUT THERE YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This and "Like A Rolling Stone" were my favorite songs when I was 8 and while I've loved many songs and bands since. It NEVER got better, different and wonderful, but NEVER better.
"Isn't he a bit like you and me".....like us all. Amazing insight and wisdom coming from such young minds. Another song that describes me and I'm sure many of us "don't hurry....take your time don't worry......leave it all.....till somebody else....lends you a hand." Patience....don't carry the world upon your shoulders.🌈🎼🙏 🌈🎼🙏 There is a new species evolving on earth....the Cimeleon ....part CimCim....part Beatle 🤣🤣🤣Nothing could be more lovely 💖💖🤗🤗💋🌈🌈
I love the meaningful and insightful reaction you've shared with me! I've loved "Nowhere Man" for as long as I can remember, but after hearing your reaction, I feel as though I appreciate it more! Thank you!
One of my all-time favorite songs and not just by The Beatles but by anyone. The perfect song, lyrically, instrumentally and vocals, it's musical genius on every level. John, Paul and George sing perfect three part harmonies and when John sings the bridge Paul and George nailed the harmonies, it perfect and beautiful in every way. Also from Rubber Soul check out John's "Girl" and if you haven't done it "In My Life" these are must listens. Also George's "Think For Yourself" and "If I Needed Someone" George never gets enough love. ✌️☮️💕
Thankyou Cindy. The Beatles collection are all my favorites. In fact, I heard one not long ago, I had never heard before. It is on their "anthology " album, for when you move over to that one in time.
I think this I was one of John's first songs away from the themes of love or girlfriends. An interesting thing is John's lack of structure in his life in this phase where he would do nothing for hours on end at home and then suddenly gain inspiration for a song. Later he wrote perhaps a continuation of this song with "Watching the Wheels" ("People say I'm lazy, dreaming my life away")..
Actually now that I think about it, I see a link between 3 songs. Nowhere man Im only sleeping Watching the Wheels Its amazing that John revisited this theme at the end of his life after starting it in his early Beatles career. There might be other songs as well that allude to this. What an amazing artist.
@@kirk6728 Paul is my favorite Beatle but I've bought all their music that's been put out this year Paul has been acting a little weird recently some of his comments maybe it's his age
@@kirk6728 he's made comments on john and the rolling stones and says he's no longer doing autographs it's no big deal for me but some are making it that way
What's that? It's too fast. For those who don't know the Beatles. The song in reality is slower, not so hectic and artificially speed up. Everywhere on youtube now the Beatles are speeded up in a way you can't enjoy it. Maybe it is done to avoid the blocking?

This lyrics is so amazing.
just when you think the Beatles probably can't astonish you again, you listen to Nowhere Man! Thank you, Cindy!
One of the best parts of this great song is Paul’s bass playing. Never gets mentioned but it’s key to the overall sound.
And George's jingly rickenbacker sound makes this song for me
@@atroticious of course. And Ringo’s fills and rolls and the harmonies. Just a great song with each member of the band contributing. Best band ever.
@@atroticious George and John doubles the solo, probably using their blue Strats.
One of the fine video segments out of the YELLOW SUBMARINE treasure. It's almost a teary-moment at the end... so sweet.
One of my favorite Beatles songs of all time!

Try to see the REO brothers band from the Philippines 🇵🇭. You'll be amazed. They sang most Beatles songs. They're brilliant and fantastic young men.
John - Nowhere man, please listen
Paul - Ooh la la la
George - Ooh la la la
Ringo - 🥁
Lennon wrote this about he was feeling from the pressures of beatlemania. He felt trapped in his fame.
Reaction a interview paul mccartney , good video
Tough to pick a favorite Beatles song here there and everywhere is mine I think
The only song written by McCartney that drew a compliment from Lennon!!!
