What is going on now is that people will take the law into their own hands. We had an incident in Portsmouth; this last Sunday when a group of men brandishing crowbars and hammers stopped a vehicle and smashed it up. The police are left floundering because they do not know the full circumstances about what it was all about. Clearly the attackers did not see the need to involve the police.
