I should have realized you would be 1000% into this game. The exaggerated, fluid sprite animation, the funny Italian pizza man, the Wario-like gameplay, the high-octane music, it's all too damn good.

It's the dog's bollocks. I originally got really into the 2019 SAGE demo, so when the release date was finally announced, I got this on day one and for the past month I've spent every moment of my spare time into playing and studying the game. It's scratched an itch like no other game has in a good bloody while.

It may just be coincidence, but this game's hard mode reminds me of both Lakitu in Super Mario Bros., and the scrapped Bottles' Revenge mode from Banjo-Tooie.
Lakitu in that the enemy follows the player around and occasionally drops enemies that act as extra obstacles… Bottles' Revenge establishes the pursuing nuisance as the devilish ghost of a classic beloved side character, though it doesn't have much else resemblance beyond that, since Bottles' Revenge is a co-op thing, and Pizza Tower is single-player only (besides mods).
