    You mention there are a lot of trouble with the Irig Stomp IO, its no wonder they go for cheap on the used market.
    Have you tried Tone Shifter Mega, or at least as a controller for Amplitude, the Irig is usable even for today?

      I have not tried the Tone Shifter Mega, but I will be sure to check it out. I am holding on to my iRig hoping that they resolve the issue. I am still not able to control the Amplitube software in my DAW. I have reached out to IK Multimedia about these issues, but I have still not heard back from them on this matter. It works great as a stand alone interface, but it sucks as a MIDI controller. Thank you for the comment & thanks for watching! 🤘😆🤘

      @@HollywoodJackson I have watched another video here on comparison as I can find the Tone Shifter at lower price, and they seemed to have better converter and lower noise.
      The catch is that they lacked expression pedal but you can add an external one.
      If the iRig cannot work with Amplitude on DAW then it is a bummer since I heard it doesn't work well on certaib iOS device as well.
      I haven't got to try Tone Shifter on Mac and iOS personally yet hence asking.

    What adapter do I get to use it with my iPad Pro 11?

    • @HollywoodJackson

      Any USB C hub should work. Here's the link at Amazon.

    It’s frustrating that I can’t get mine to work with the power adapter.

      Are you using a computer or an iPad? Have you tried using it with the usb cable? I had the same problem. I had to buy a usb hub to make it work on my iPad. I'm starting to wonder if the power supply is for the phantom power on the mic input? I'm not sure though, I have never used the phantom power. Thank you for watching and thanks for the comment. I hope this helps you out! Here's the link for the iPad USB hub at Amazon. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0816SBM5M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

    What happens if I connect my guitar with the phantom power on?

    • @HollywoodJackson
      @HollywoodJackson  11 месяцев назад

      I would like to think that IK Multimedia has probably thought that through and the connection is fused, but I've been wrong about them before. I have never put 48v to a guitar pick up on purpose so I don't know first hand about this. I'm just guessing but I think that you would hear a loud pop and a smell if something was damaged. I guess it could result in damage to both the guitar and/or the iRig Stomp, but this is outside of my wheelhouse. That question would be better left to an electronics expert. Does everything still work? Thank you for the question and thanks for watching! All the Best! Keep me posted on how it turns out!

    I couldn't agree more with your sentiments about an iPad on the floor. I've been wondering what kind of cable or adapter I would need to get it up on a mic stand mount. I'm only interested in a live application. Your power issue is puzzling, perhaps a defective transformer? Nice thorough review, thanks.

      Thank you! I discovered that the iPad will work with the power adaptor when plugged into the USB 7 in 1 hub. I could never get it to work with the IK Multimedia USB-C cable ($30) So don't waste your time or money on it. Not sure why. Thank you for the comment & Thanks for watching! I ordered the USB-C extension cable from Amazon. Here's the link

    I was trying to use my ipad air 2013 but after few minutes the sound from the rig comes up with cracks and noise. I believe I have to upgrade to a newer ipad pro. Did yours worked fine after reasonable time playing on it? Another thing I've noticed is, as soon as you aren't using power adapter I guess is the ipad powering the irig right? How long did your battery last playing on it? Great video, thanks!

      We have had nothing but problems with the iRig Stomp. I was never able to get the power adapter to power the iRig Stomp. I never thought about it charging the iPad.Good question though. I’ll look into that for the next video. I just finished another video on the iRig. I should have that published in the next week or so. I ended up using the usb D hub on the iRig connected to the iPad with a 7 in one adapter and it worked fine. It uses the usb D for power in that application and no issues. Not sure how long it will last running that way. It works fine in the stand alone desktop version connected with the usb D. I hope that helps answer some of your questions. I will be sure to leave you a link when I get the new video published. Thank you for the questions and comments and thanks for watching!

      I just discovered the same crackling issue using the iRig with one of my PC's. Try raising the sample rate if possible. That may solve your issue. I'm working on some new videos with the iRig problems and solutions. Hope this helps out. All the best!

    • @bragagliar
      @bragagliar 2 года назад +1

      I'm not sure about increasing the sample rate on the ipad, I'll have a look on it. I was checking about the power adapter the other day and I discovered that to turn on the rig it has to be connected to the usb unless you convert to the midi mode. So it is connected to usb using power from the adapter. I am now using it as midi controller 😒

      @@bragagliar I ended up buying a 7 in one USB-C Hub. I could never get my iPad to connect to the pedal board thru the USB-C cable. Mine will only work thru the USB-D cable. This thing is loaded with problems. I love the software in the DAW but the hardware SUCKS! Way too many bugs in it. Thank you for the comment & thanks for watching! Cheers! All the best!

    Hey man i just bought the pedal… tried it today with my Iphone 12 Pro Max (no open tabs except Bias Fx or Amplitube)
    I have latency problems and i fckn dont know why maybe you know how to troubleshoot

    • @HollywoodJackson
      @HollywoodJackson  2 года назад

      The latency issue can probably be fixed by adjusting the sample rate to 512 or 256. We have had issues running the software on the iPad and iPhone. We have had better luck running the AmpliTube software and the iRig Stomp on the PC. Check out our other videos on the iRig and the AmpliTube 4 software. Thank you for the question and thanks for watching!

      I purchased the first USB-C cable from IK Multimedia & it didn't work. Then I purchased the USB-C extension cable from amazon & added a 7 in 1 USB Hub. It works fine now thru the USB hub with the iPad. Thanks for the question & thank you for watching! Here's the link

    Sorry to say but the pedal is garbage guys. I had nothing but power cut out, app crashing. The on board pedal is not responding. When connecting to a sound card or macbook device is not recognised. I could not be more unhappy with it tbh

    • @HollywoodJackson

      I was disappointed with it myself. The app works great on the PC without the pedal, but what’s the point if you can’t use the controller? Thank you for the comment & Thanks for watching! 🤘😆🤘

      What all didn’t you like about it? Considering on buying this because of the versatility

    • @HollywoodJackson
      @HollywoodJackson  2 года назад +1

      @@nikkicartee879 Don't get me wrong. I love the AmpliTube 4 software and all of the IK Multimedia software that we have purchased. It sounds absolutely incredible and has moved our studio to the next level. I ended up with the AmpliTube MAX bundle because the amps & configurations are out of this world! So many possibilities with this setup! My problem is with the iRig Stomp IO as a pedal board. So far we have not been able to make it work as a MIDI controller in the studio. We have also had issues using it with the iPad as well. I am currently working with tech support at IK Multimedia to resolve these issues. It is not without problems and limitations. I have multiple videos on this subject. Other people have had similar issues with the iRig as an interface. I invite you to check out these videos & read some of the other users complaints. Thank you for the question & Thanks for watching. Here's the link to my video section on some of these issues.

      @@HollywoodJackson gonna check them out in a few.
      Just been researching for something that I can use through a PA system. This caught my eye because of the setup. And from what I understand if you buy through IK at the moment you get the full package of amplitude.
      Other board I’m looking at is the line 6 pod go and the new boss board.
