- Now you will never throw away your old incandescent lamp ❗️Eternal candle using a regular lamp , Today I want to share with you an amazing project - creating an eternal burning candle at home. In this video I will tell you in detail about all the necessary materials and the process of making this candle.
To begin with, we will need the following tools and materials: an old used light bulb, a wick with a mount, and a container, preferably glass.
The first step is to clean out the old contents of the light bulb, leaving only the glass body. To attach the lamp we will use a nipple from a bicycle. For convenience, we will first make holes in the lid of the jar.
Now we are ready to connect all the components and do not forget to thread the wick through the hole. To burn a candle, pour any flammable solution, such as alcohol, into our jar.
And now, the moment of truth has come! We can light a candle and enjoy its eternal burning. Just imagine the amazing atmosphere created by this homemade candle.

al poner virulana para puentear el led estás dando sobrecarga a los otros leds, y se van a ir quemando. además si la virulana se desprende puede crear un cortocircuito en los terminales y provocar un incendio.

Personalmente creo que el agujero superior debería de ser más grande, y si además le añades en uno de los lados una superficie reflectante (puede ser hecha con una lata de refresco), sería mucho más efectiva

The idea is nice, only that the next lamp will burn much faster than the current one. ! I would calculate the resistance of the burned out lamp and solder a small resistor. Or it's best to transfer an identical, normal lamp, even from another burned out lamp. and solder in place of the burnt lamp. Anyway, your idea is nice too.

In reality, the bulb worsens combustion by not allowing air to enter.
The cheap rope is what's smoking. It is not a wick. A wick is impregnated with wax to keep it lit. This is a fire waiting to happen!!

It burns for an insanely long time while there is liquid in it
Both ideas are bad. The "candle" it too enclosed and does not get enough Oxygen, so it will produce a lot of smoke and soot. The fix with iron wool does not produce a reliable contact so there is a high risk of a hot spot in the place of the "repair". If you want to bridge a burnt LED properly solder a Copper wire across it.
Or replace the led !

He has his wick up way too high. It should only be up to about 1/4 of an inch or so. Otherwise, it burns too much fuel too fast. You could also easily use regular cooking oil instead of rubbing alcohol. Keep the wick short in order to prevent smoking and waste of fuel. Yes, the glass will get hot but the glass is made for heat. Consider the 125w incandescent light bulb. They are VERY hot. You don't dare to touch them and they would cause a paper towel to brown and smolder if using them to unscrew from a light socket. I wouldn't worry about that.

This is a non-starter for me. The alcohol is a fire waiting to happen--and it is almost impossible to see alcohol burning... If the glass is tipped over or broken , again this is another fire starter that's difficult to see... And the lid doesn't have a gasket or some other form of leak prevention, etc... This is just a Molotov cocktail, just a bit smaller and cleaner... There is just an insane amount of risk for a tiny bit of
light...My suggestion is buy a candle and holder ... A lot of the DIY--ers seen on YT are barely able to put air in a tire, so DO NOT TRY

The lamp may be OK in an absolute emergency but it can be done much more safely. The way shown is dangerous. Very dangerous, and an explosion and/or a raging inferno can result if you use a highly flammable and/or volatile fuel. Especially if used indoors and extra especially if there are animals (including humans) moving about that could knock it.
Being held together with superglue isn't a good idea either.
The LED lamp - No. Don't use steel wool. Please. And holding it down with insulation tape is nuts !
Sure, remove the faulty LED, then solder a link across it which is easy to do with basic soldering skills and a small soldering iron.
