Progress has been made , no doubt in difficult temperatures and weather conditions. Looks good !

Looks like a decent paint job to me and possibly better than factory even if you’ve spotted a couple of wee flaws. Just a couple of shades darker than the blue that Invacars were painted in, so although it’s a Ford Escort colour it’s still pretty appropriate for a three wheeler. Looking forward to seeing it all come together in the next videos.

I really enjoy watching your adventures working on a car which I have never seen nor will I ever see here in Australia. BUT your audio voice level is very low but the clunks of tools etc is higher. To hear your commentary I have to use earphones. I watch many car restos on YT but only have trouble here. Keep up the good work and Merry Christmas from Australia.

Glad you enjoy the videos! I’ll try resolve the sound issue for future videos! The microphones been acting up so it’s maybe time to replace it! 🙂

When I was looking for a saloon I wanted a slatty 3/25. But none for sale so I got a later 3/30 with the face lift. In over 4 years after I kept a look out for 3/25 and saw only one in a Nottingham salvage yard that needed a full resto, but it was complete. Didn't get it though as I was into full resto of the 3/30 into 21E spec. Watching you put those badge clips on... omg they are crap. I just used some some pieces of silicon hose that tightly pushed over. And the plastic pins on the plastic triangle badges are even worse. They will break if you breathe hard on them. :p And when you come to fit that bonnet badge it must be done before you fit the heater box back in, as you need to get your arm down inside the double skin. Impossible otherwise. (You probs knew that already)

Yeh they seem to be pretty rare the slatty 3/25’s, that’s quite an interesting story though! And your right there, reason I have went for these stubborn clips is so the badges can’t be removed easily, I’ve had a badge stolen before off a supervan and don’t want it to happen again. Need to get 2 badges made before I can fit the bonnet badge though! 🙂 might be getting them remade by 3d printing I hope! Luckily I won’t be fitting any internals until all the badges are on!

Say if u sand it back to prep for paint do u have to put new gel coat on and if not just primer then paint and what do u do if it needs new gel coat

So 9/10 times usually you just need to sand back old paint till gel coating, then prep, prime, and paint. If gel coatings damaged then it needs stripped totally back to fibreglass and new gel coating applied, then primer and paint

Quite annoying to do work on cars in winter Scotland. It's cold and wet.
I was going to ask a decently big question
I'm planning on taking the body off my 1994 Rialto Estate SE in spring of 2024. Is there anything specific I should look out for?

Sure is! But just do what can be done! Erm luckily with rialtos it will have a galvanised chassis, just give it a general check over I’d say, it’s easier to rebuild engine while the body is off also
