@@grooooved You need a B&D charger for the B&D battery, its 20 volt, the Porter Cable charger is 18. The outcome is so beneficial we are using almost all B&D batteries now. You can get a cheap black and decker 20 volt charger amzn.to/2JVlI6q , Which is what I have about 6 of and both the Bisway / PowerExtra made batteries 2x 4.0 ebay.to/2Ikbo7Q & 2x 2.0 ebay.to/2OirGlZ
I have dewalt tools and batteries. And I have some porter cable 18 volt nicad tools. You know if they make a adpter for 20 volt dewalt batteries to work on those portercable tools.
I got the same Porter Cable 3 tool set about 10 years ago. All the tools still work fine. About 4 years ago I upgraded my impact driver to the Black and Decker 20v. Since then I also got a weed eater and a hedge trimmer, all Black and Decker 20v. My last Porter Cable 18v battery just died, but I have 3 Black and Decker 20v batteries. I just ordered the adapter for $20. Very relieved I can still use all my Porter Cable tools without spending butt loads on new batteries. Thank you.
It works, but be aware that the porter cable tools are not designed to protect against over discharging lithium batteries. Ive got that exact 18v PC drill and adaptor for 20v b&d batteries. I ruined a month old lithium battery by killing it on this setup. it was discharged to the point where it would not take a charge. On B&D 20v max tools, the circuitry that protects the battery is in the tool, not the batteries.
The standard 20 volt black and decker battery does have a over temp and over draw circuit in them. That is the BMS ( battery management system), all have them. I never saw a tool thats made with such controls in them. When they refer to the NiCad/NiMh battery verses the Lithium battery its all about the chargers compatibility, not the tool. But you can have a first I never saw.
I assumed it was in the tool because on my 20v b&d tools ( drill circular saw, chainsaw) the tool comes to a complete stop when the battery is too low. On my porter cable drill with the adaptor, it would just gradually slow down and lose power until the battery was completely dead.
Thanks for having this adapter made! I have the same porter cable set, nice to know they can be used still I almost gave them away. Merry Christmas 🎄 to y’all 🙋🏻♂️
I just checked the link, it goes to the adapter for the 20v B&D to 18v Porter Cable tools. Try it again, it may have been a bad bounce due to You Tube stuff.
Thanks for posting this video - I've only now just discovered it. I'd like to get one of these adapters but the link in your description is a dead link (page not found). Can you post an updated link where this adapter may be purchased? Thank you...
The worx battery is correct in their measurements, and reasonable priced like a 20 volt 4 AH lithium battery £60 they do a 6 AH version for £89 and if you buy the drill from Wickes that is a good version you get two batteries a metal chuck at 4Ah £140 don't think it runs on 120 volts tho not sure
Great video, anymore info on the Milwaukee to B&D adapter. I have some old Milwaukee V18 Lithium tools, (that the scumbags changed overnight). I don't want to buy Milwaukee batteries, way too expensive, and I have beed very happy with my B&D 20 Volt Lithium stuff, and what a great deal. Once again, great videos, and just subscribed to you. I live in Wa State, and just drove through your area last week.
I am working with a company in Singapore to make them for me to show and promote. I have a crap load of the old Milwaukee 18v ni-cad that are top quality, and in excellent condition for being up to 15 years old used years in my plumbing biz. So I got a real need to be able to run them on the 20 volt options.

Hi and thank you. Will these charge on the porter cable charger using the adapter?

Excellent video!
Skip the adapter and just cut out the plastic piece. Same terminals on bd and pc.
Great video! I also would like to buy this adapter but the link won't work. Could you post another link please.
Good to know!! Cannot wait for the next one!!
the adapter page is down, is it gone?

Can you turn a old 12v drill into a wind generator.
Probably, but most have brushes, would wear out the brushes fast making power, and you may only get 25 watts from it.
I love this channel, more windpower please
On its way. As soon as winter agrees to let me on the roof!
Is there a Milwaukee adapter yet?
thanks for the video loved it please keep them coming ,, you mention DC voltage please make a video on that concerning this video thanks.

I USE DEWALT BATTERIES ON MY RYOBI... HAVE A 3D PRINTED ADAPTER!
I love it when you do that shit lol
Love the comedy got to laugh at them some times
All the lithium batteries that are listed as 18 volts are really 20.5 volts I think it is.
