Me: Well the opening song is called Wild Side so
Legoshi is not a normal wolf, though he's not a dire wolf either, but he is still a wolf, and despite wolves being ferocious and dangerous, they're not the top of the food-chain/animal-kingdom (while wolves/dogs do have good offense and agility, they don't have much defense, and can be easily seriously/critically/fatally injured)

because Haru, being a rabbit, and even worse a white dwarf rabbit, is likely to get killed/eaten'ed, being so powerless and helpless, in often having such a short life... she lives everyday like it is her last, as it can be, and so, she has no regrets, being her intelligent and blunt self, and "enjoys" what she can get out of life, so, she's quite "loose" in the "dating" scene... having slept with most males at the high school... herbivores and carnivores, even stealing some males of other females, needless to say, all of this, put her at "enemy #1 of all of the other females", being jealous of her popularity, and "extra-curricular-activities", and even outright having their bfs cheat on them with Haru, laughs, and so, she gets bullied and abused by the other females often, having to fend for herself against them
being a white dwarf rabbit, being so weak and helpless, makes her really attractive with the males, hunger and lust, go together, power/dominance/predator vs weakness/submission/helplessness/prey, hunting, and, s'x roles and attraction dynamics
Me during the episode: Wow, there's alot of between society and the characters.
Me at the end of it: ...what..?
I honestly felt like it was off when how you pointed out that nobody is doing anything about Tem's death, but then I remembered how in P5 during the start of the game there was an incident involving one of Ann's friends (without going much into spoiler detail), all of it would have been swept under the rug because it involved in influential figure in the school. Also.. What..?
If the main cast of P5 didn't interfere I would have assumed it would have resulted in what were seeing now. But in this case nobody else is bothering to watch out.
I feel like what else this makes me think about, when it comes to animal society, it's the movie Zootopia. (Again, no spoiler details, if you know, you know, don't spoil the movie). Also ..What..?
While nothing is clear about the movie of how it works, you have to see the background to piece together the details. What I find fascinating is the idea that right now in Beastars, the whole animal instincts aspect where the carnivores are not quite at self controlling as the Zootopia counterparts. It makes me feel like this takes place in a border earlier time period (not really the case, just the feeling of it) to where Zootopia the animals there are more human then animal, like the animal instinces are remnant then dominant. Like yeah I feel like I'm comparing, but there isn't alot of movies where they actually acknowledge that they are animals and not just (to put it thematically) just regular humans or people who are in that world no different then our earth.

The egg question will be answered in later episode. Chickens can earn a little extra for selling their eggs for consumpsion in this universe. Don't know why goat or cow milk would be any different though since if they don't milk it out, their stomachs start to get infected.

im sure that in this world they know which eggs are fertilized and which are not and if I was living in this world and I was a bird I would be happy to give up my unfertalized eggs at a cost to benefit my family as well as make sure that the babies I do have are safe from predator's.
birds will lay eggs regardless of it being fertilized, its like humans having periods, you won't think the period blood is a human would you?
