During our 2023 trip to Florida, we couldn't wait to revisit Volcano Bay, our favorite water park. The verdict? Absolutely! Sorry, but it remains our favorite water park worldwide. Okay, we haven't been to every water park on the planet, but for now, this one takes the crown.
First off, it's the atmosphere that sets this park apart-the visual universe, the music, and the magical entrance. It feels like Disney's recipe, guiding you through a predetermined path. The entrance is enchanting, and a few steps later, you see the volcano and slides, and all you want to do is dive in!
So, let's dive into this water park with its numerous attractions, especially the aquacoaster Krakatau with its magnetic lifts-a must-try on repeat.
Another thing we love at Volcano Bay is the wild river, truly wild-life jackets are a must for the waves, jets, and accelerations.
We usually spend about half a day, thanks to the early entry with our hotel stay, allowing us to enjoy the park with fewer crowds and loop Krakatau rides while easily finding a locker.
If you can swing it, consider booking a Cabana for a spot to stash your stuff and, more importantly, VIP access and slide reservations right from your lounge chair... if that's not luxury :)
