Dear Steve, Thanks for your film. I realise that I have actually fished your peg near the dam...I caught little but I have old fashioned gear and only pleasure fish. I first fished there at age 5. My Grandad started me fishing. Our family was from the local Yardly village area. At age 60 I retraced my steps and went there again but, I forgot my bait box !"!… I guess m ost of us have had to resort to fishing bread from our sandwiches on the hook before now. On this occasion I can perhaps mclaim to have fished s First ? I sat on one of the shallow pegs opposite your peg(where the swans nest on the bank sometimes). I had Tesco BBQ Chicken pieces (hot) for my dinner and decided to cut the skin into strips like a worm. I also used small gristle pieces on my size 14 hook to get some of the flavour in the swim. I looked for tecnch bubbles in the evening light and fished ;laying on with an old balsa onion float and just waited. Sure enough I was lucky with 3-4 lb fish. Lots of weed on that peg but I guess that's why it was good for tench. So, the tip for the season is- it you forget your bait, make sure you go to Tesco as a abck up plan. Cheers Steve W, Age 62 Worcesteshire (Former Nene Angling Club Junior team 1970.- Weston Mill trained !)
Hello, May I ask, what is the feeding that Steve Ringer talked about from 0:48 to 1 minute? I don't understand what he's saying. Thank you very much, Martin R.
pole fishing is like an express supermarket , get in and get out , no real angling involved just cup a bait in and let the elastic do the work , lazy mans fishing , rod and line all the way
miss fishing id appreciate more tips its always helpful to learn more
