I find some of the things on iphone outdated and gimmicky. I still use it for filming only as the low light videos is the only thing i like that is has over the s21 ultra, but s21 ultra is my main phone
Went with an iPhone 12 this time after having been an android user since the start...switched from the S10+ and even though hardware wise it doesn’t seem to be an upgrade but the software is worth it...its providing a much better user experience software wise and compensates for the hardware... having a macbook and ipad also helps in getting the most of the ecosystem Also this time I also considered the resale value...I was getting tired of Samsung phones loosing their value so quickly... I might consider switching to Samsung again in the future though
I have both. Both are excellent and it comes down to ecosystems. My personal life is all Apple. I message, Air drop, I movie are applications I use heavily. I appreciate the privacy factors that Apple brings both apps and encrypted messages (sort of) with imessage. From a work perspective I find Google to be the best ecosystem for me. Everything I need to access or share with the exception of a couple of facility systems can be accessed and/or shared from my phone or tablet. The only thing about android that I don't like is the lack of a messaging system with universal RCS across the many brands of phones. Android is slowly closing that gap with Google Messages integration. I still prefer the built in stock Samsung messages features and it feels more polished overall than Google messages. I think when Google adds pinned messages that will be thr feature to really take off their adaptation. Great video (as always) Saki. You're awesome.
Using S10 plus great phone I always prefer S21 ultra because of better camera options, iphone also great but maximum apps are purchasable which is anoid.
Well when it comes to the apps like snapchat IG and so forth they run a lot better ont the iphone then the apps on the Samsung. Snapchat is really slow on Android, and i think iphone has a better user interface, the app library is really good. I regret that i bye oneplus 8T instead for the iphone 12 pro max:/
"If you are a gamer you will enjoy the iPhone more." *looks at Gamepass* *looks at Fortnite and the plethora of other games that can't be installed on iOS* Hmm.
@@alexanderwilkins1505 I've actually never played Fortnite a day in my life. Battle Royales and free to play games don't interest me. But 350 million people are interested in Fortnite, and they spent 1.8 billion dollars on the game in 2019. It doesn't matter if they are 4 year old or 40 year olds. Their parents have money, right?
But the one they do have are better optimised. I have tried pubg mobile in both and it feels smoother and stable in ios. That was in 2019 though and later android phones might be comparable now. As I heard oneplus 8 performs great.
I personally prefer Apple for only one reason and that’s because you get 7 years of updates. With Android, you only receive 3 years. my wife’s iPhone 6s is still going very strong on iOS 14.4.
not 7 but 5 years. And even if the Android receives the updates for only 3 years, you are not going to use a phone for more than 3 years man, come on. In Iphone updates, there is not much new things. But in Android updates, the menu will fully change, the apps icon as well, new features. The most important, Android is more customizable and not a limited phone unlike an Iphone.
I've switched between iphone and samsung over the years, and Samsung has always been better. The older versions of Samsung are better than the current versions of Iphones in my opinion. Iphone just hasnt really changed much or done anything spectacular
What iPhone lacks in customization it excels in at optimization. I’ve had the iPhone 6s for years now and only now am I noticing really bad issues with the phone.
Starting with iphone 12 series there is really nothing bad in the iphone .. last weakness in iphone was the lcd 720p iphone 11 screen and thats it , everything else is beast now on iphone .
well rather than being anti iPhone I decided to get the iPhone 12 pro max annnnnnnnnnnnnnd returned it two days later. I'm sorry but my note 10 offers so much awesome useful features that works in my life much more that when i was using the iPhone. Things i didn't like about iPhone was
1. Wallpapers- gotta go to settings just to set a wallpaper rather than from the gallery 2. No fingerprint reader , got tired of typing in my 6 digit pin because when i public im wearing a mask and got tired of pulling it down and up. 3. Power off the phone- you have to go to the settings just to power off the phone ....BRUH REALLY ? can't even replace the Siri button to power button 4. NO Split screen options like using RUclips and google maps at the same time or whatever two apps. 5. The Notch- at first i was okay with the notch but after watching a numerus of videos the notch made the screen seem small and enclosed. 6. NO 120hz screen 7. Keyboard- My hands cramped when texting due not being able to change the height of the damn keyboard , I've even downloaded Gboard and still couldn't change it. things i do like is 1. Apple arcade - they have some very premium console like games on there. I played a Zelda type of game and it was dope. 2. Speakers- I'm not sure but it sounds like it has a surround system built into it and its very nice. 3. screen- Though there is no 120hz the screen does look very crisp and better than my note 10 at HDR videos. 4. Video calling - all the different filters you can do when video calling is 100x better than Samsung video calling HANDS DOWN 5. imessage is really cool with recording your face using animals or your avatar. welp i try to give apple a chance buuuuut the things i do like is not worth $1,200 plus and those are not really the bells and whistles im looking for and basically the iphone comes off basic due to not having a lot customization like android. I really don't to list all the cool stuff my Note 10 can do because everyone already knows at this point.
3 of those things you said you couldn't do you actually can do on the iPhone once you learn how to use the phone but I do get your frustration with the iPhone.. Though Samsung has more features (which not a lot of people take advantage off) iPhones ecosystem and it's overall longevity is better in my opinion.. android phones have a lot of gimmick features that you'd most likely never use like directors view(I think). Do you really think most people are going to record on every camera when you take a video? Imagine the space of recording 1 session is going to take or the power it takes to do that. It's cool to have that feature but only content creators are really going to take advantage of that. And that's my point. Not saying Apple is better but most people never use those advanced features that come with Samsung. Most people don't know what Hz is 😂😂😂
@@eziequelwatson9995 i would disagree with you on the multi view samsung feature , imo the point of it is to give you the option to pick the best view that suits your preference, and that is very handy. As for people not knowing about HZ , that maybe true , but once they try it they will quickly see the difference. I don't see having more ways to do things as gimmicks just because you may not use them.
*EDIT:!* SAMSUNGS NEWEST HIGH RANGE PHONES GET 3 YEARS UPDATES, SO 4 YEARS NO WORRY, GREAT NEWS!! S21 ULTRA 512GB version is a DREAM and I'm very happy with it 😃
The iPhone is quite good , but in some areas a little overrated i think. I used my 12 pro max for some video while looking at a property recently and it was shaky as hell. most disappointing after the many review's saying how wonderful it is. I do like the big wide display and general ease of use though. The Camera though could have improvements for sure.
I think the software at Samsung is much better .....One-handed operation. Back button, organize pictures, appdrawer, settings menu, Task Manager, and of course the incredible customization options. 120HZ are a must have. The camera has more options . Objectively speaking, both are verry good..... of course, although I simply don't like Apple. But of course it's the other way around..... I personally love my S21ULTRA and don't want any other device (up to the S22😅)
Having owned both and now using the S21 Ultra I prefer the UI and display on the samsung however the iPhone has better battery and better optimization, however I prefer android for customization and more features.
Samsung switches things up, keeps evolving and stays ahead of its time. Apple just adds a camera and calls it something new. If Apple was as innovative I'd use their product but for now the Galaxy is out of this world. Sorry Fanboys. 🤣
@@redh3d17 Yeah I hear that. I also switched back to iPhone and it’s tough to regret it because the phone is good, has some subtle nice advantages regarding the ecosystem, but Samsung is better. iPhone is just sooo boring… customization is a joke and that’s even with some recent improvements. Samsung Touch ID is perfect and the display is clearly better... no silly notch. I’m quite sure I’ll be switching back to Samsung.
Saki, superb review, but PLEASE keep the phones consistently on the left or right, several times in the comparison you flipped them and, to some, that may cause confusion.
Not sure how that can be confusing.....one has a very distinct cutout on top of the front screen and a big apple on the back, the other has a tiny camera hols on front and says SAMSUNG on the back. If this confuses you, or anyone else, I don't even know what to say LOL.
I pre-ordered the S21 ultra unlocked with a case with the capability to have to different levels of viewing angles in landscape mode. As well, I'll receive a wireless charger, 150$ gift card, the Galaxy buds pro, and the smart tag. I'm so glad to have made the choice to get the S21 ultra.

I was so shocked on the camras that was like omg so buy s 21 ultra me:your Iphone can blast at anytime!
Iphone always will be faster, of course more horse power always and also the apps definitely will run way better on iPhone, because the system and the chip will be always better, this video is the proof, the reason for the notch is because of the ability to unlock the phone with just your face, dark or bright it will always work, it is so secure that banks and other financial apps have enabled this amazing function, thousands of times better than having your fingerprints that sometimes fails and you have to try it again, thats why after 8 years being a samsung client switched to IPhone. The chip, the system and the face Id function are the best, this video is the proof, until samsung can compete for the best Chip and system and development of apps and offers me a better function to unlock my phone (of course way better than the fingerprints thats really obsolete ) and its approved by the financial system to be secure, then we’ll talk, samsung needs a really good and secure system and also easier unlocking function.
Thanks for the video! A few things to mention that are important. Security. iPhone definitely has a notch at the top but the security of facial recognition is much more secure than a fingerprint. Also in the security category the Samsung phones are agreeably more Customizable. However with that ability comes a more open system which is more vulnerable to malware hackers and viruses. The close system of the iPhone affords the user more security. I have gone back-and-forth with switching from my iPhone promax to the new Samsung S 21 ultra. Mainly because of the macro lens that can be used on the Samsung as well as the zoom. But I’m not quite sure that that outweighs better security
I had the s21 ultra for 1 month now, and prior to that had the prior galaxy line up... but with Apple tightening the security from Google and Facebook, and Samsung phones getting more controlled by Google (also there is no more Samsung cloud it will be ending this month, so you have to make a microsoft account to back up your Samsung data into🙃 we got Samsung, Microsoft, Google trying to controll you have separate emails for each one what a joke.) So I decided to leave Samsung, and yesterday bought the 12 pro max iphone .should arrive in two days... will be shipping this sn21 ultra back after, and getting a refund.
Most similar thing is they are only giving the Phone. No charger,No earphone. NO extra Necessary gadgets in the Box. Only Phone. and that's not fantastic at all.
Unlike the iPhone 12 though the Ultra is a couple of bucks cheaper than last year's model. So you can buy a charger if already you don't have one and it'll be still cheaper.
Samsung Galaxy s21ultra I had the iphone 12 pro max and it just didnt do it. Sold the iphone and I'm having the greatest experience with the s21 ultra. Was a Android fan till I got a iPhone 11. My last phone was a S9+ The S20 was a no go, 4 hours Screen on time from a 4000mah battery with exynos is pathetic. iPhone 11 6-8 hours sot. Samsung is exciting and feature packed, but what’s the point when I have to deep sleep apps, turn power save mode on to get 6 hour’s Sot. It’s also cheaper for a 12 pro max than a S21 ultra. Also gaming is much much better on iphone tf .. i think there isnt really anything better now on samsung , even youtube on iphone 12 pro max can play 4k60fps hdr
In real life most content creator use iPhone and if you come to tech conference event you will see they just use iPhone to record their content. Whats the point 10,100,1000 mp camera or 4,6,8,100k video resolution but when you upload it on social media it looks disgusting? I can tell which people who using iPhone and who dont. You know right? Instagram stories, tiktok or any other content creator app the result from any android phone looks disturbing? Even president of my country making vlog with his iPhone 11 pro.
The iPhone is faster maybe, but look at all the 21 has. Of course it might not be faster because it has more things going on compared to the iPhone. It's like comparing superman to the flash. The flash strength is his speed while superman is fast, but he also strong has more powers and can fly. Do you want a master of one or a jack of all trades?
The S21 has a smoother UI because of the 120Hz screen. It also has more features. The IPhone has more raw horse power but less features due to the restrictions of Apple.
@@martinbrankov8504 Yes might be worth the wait, but I've had flawless performance and also great battery life on my S21 ultra however I've seen comparison videos with the snapdragon chip which shows there's still room for improvement for exynos but I doubt the average phone user will notice the difference.

I've always had iPhone but wanted to try the new samsung. I do like most of it except I think they're still a problem uploading the great videos you take on your phone to social media apps. What's up with that?
I have both. The Apple is a good PHONE ... The Samsung is a good pocket computer. Yes both make calls but one is far far far more capable than the other, which is the Samsung.

Also this time I also considered the resale value...I was getting tired of Samsung phones loosing their value so quickly...
Samsung does use RCS
It's a hidden special feature only on Google messages
Using S10 plus great phone I always prefer S21 ultra because of better camera options, iphone also great but maximum apps are purchasable which is anoid.
I think I will tune down due to the fact there is no microSD card at all
Ok but you didn't have to flex the Type R that hard on us 😔

I personally prefer Apple for only one reason and that’s because you get 7 years of updates. With Android, you only receive 3 years. my wife’s iPhone 6s is still going very strong on iOS 14.4.
6-3 and you're right the iphone has a lot more stable software
not 7 but 5 years.

Iphone just hasnt really changed much or done anything spectacular
i have s8 and after a years i started having problems with my phone, now my s8 is dying
What iPhone lacks in customization it excels in at optimization. I’ve had the iPhone 6s for years now and only now am I noticing really bad issues with the phone.
THANK YOU for calling out that ugly, ugly notch. Hopefully it's gone on the iPhone 13
I actually don't mind the notch most of the time , but yes there are the occasional times when it dies interfere a bit.
U fandroid iPhone users never complain the notch lmao
I just move to Iphone after using Android for almost 2 years...and I'm loving my IPhone 12 Max Pro 🙃
Starting with iphone 12 series there is really nothing bad in the iphone .. last weakness in iphone was the lcd 720p iphone 11 screen and thats it , everything else is beast now on iphone .
Only thing i like about iphone is portrait mode pictures.😴
They are nice, I've seen. Not lying, but yes, that's a sleeper.
well rather than being anti iPhone I decided to get the iPhone 12 pro max annnnnnnnnnnnnnd returned it two days later. I'm sorry but my note 10 offers so much awesome useful features that works in my life much more that when i was using the iPhone. Things i didn't like about iPhone was
1. Wallpapers- gotta go to settings just to set a wallpaper rather than from the gallery
2. No fingerprint reader , got tired of typing in my 6 digit pin because when i public im wearing a mask and got tired of pulling it down and up.
3. Power off the phone- you have to go to the settings just to power off the phone ....BRUH REALLY ? can't even replace the Siri button to power button
4. NO Split screen options like using RUclips and google maps at the same time or whatever two apps.
5. The Notch- at first i was okay with the notch but after watching a numerus of videos the notch made the screen seem small and enclosed.
6. NO 120hz screen
7. Keyboard- My hands cramped when texting due not being able to change the height of the damn keyboard , I've even downloaded Gboard and still couldn't change it.
things i do like is
4. Video calling - all the different filters you can do when video calling is 100x better than Samsung video calling HANDS DOWN
5. imessage is really cool with recording your face using animals or your avatar.
welp i try to give apple a chance buuuuut the things i do like is not worth $1,200 plus and those are not really the bells and whistles im looking for and basically the iphone comes off basic due to not having a lot customization like android.
You are my Samsung channel. : )
I have both and trying to see which I want to keep for the long-term. Thanks for the review.
Have you decided? :D
*EDIT:!* SAMSUNGS NEWEST HIGH RANGE PHONES GET 3 YEARS UPDATES, SO 4 YEARS NO WORRY, GREAT NEWS!! S21 ULTRA 512GB version is a DREAM and I'm very happy with it 😃
12 pro max offers less for the same money.....who could have foreseen that yeahhhhh.
That's an apple iPhone for ya. Probably the same features as the 11.. this is why I switched years ago.
The S 21 ultra is a pretty cool phone but I still Prefer iPhone
Samsung are MILES ahead of Apple. People just buy iPhone because of the name 🙄 SAMSUNG IS QUALITY 😎👊🏻
apple has better apps
Having owned both and now using the S21 Ultra I prefer the UI and display on the samsung however the iPhone has better battery and better optimization, however I prefer android for customization and more features.
This was exactly my feelings with the s20+ vs the iphone 11 pro max.
Samsung switches things up, keeps evolving and stays ahead of its time. Apple just adds a camera and calls it something new. If Apple was as innovative I'd use their product but for now the Galaxy is out of this world. Sorry Fanboys. 🤣
S21 for me. Just love the complexity. (former iPhone user, 1-10)
I’ve tried switching. Just miss some thing on the iPhone. Ugh! But I’m so bored with iPhone.

@@Doogks It happens.
Refined simplicity and customizable complexity awesome phrase. iPhone📱 knows Samsung is better
@@hotrodfanatic1 yeah both easily distinguish from the front or the back. Nothing to tripp about

@@XCAPTAIN001 do you like or love your s21 ultra?
Do you eat grass?
Thanks for an important response. Very informative, especially for those who need it.
In what world is hacky facial recognition more secure than a fingerprint scanner?
Most similar thing is they are only giving the Phone. No charger,No earphone. NO extra Necessary gadgets in the Box. Only Phone. and that's not fantastic at all.
Unlike the iPhone 12 though the Ultra is a couple of bucks cheaper than last year's model. So you can buy a charger if already you don't have one and it'll be still cheaper.
I like how you can like a video before even watching it!
I think we need to watch some of the video for the like to actually stay
Nice! What's the Benchmark score for the 512 mb s21 ultra with 16gb of ram? Would it be higher and faster than the Apple phone that you tested?

Everyone keeps bashing Samsung over SD and a stupid charger I got this phone a week ago it's has greatly improved one UI 3.0 is incredible the fingerprint scanner is something not talked about either it's double the size of the old one and it's very noticeable in everyday use how much better it is

The thicc bezel of the new iPhone still looks like a toy, imho..
