- Mark Dermul, Belgian whisky blogger, tries an older Japanese blend. Suntory Old is a popular whisky from Japan, which first appeared in the 1940s. It continued to lead the way until the 1980s when single malts began to grow in popularity and this fun blend lost its prestige somewhat. Mark was able to pick up a bottle from the 1990s with the strange contents of 760ml. It is more than plausible to suspect that this contains quite a lot of Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita, right?
Great location for this review of this nice whisky with quite some "historical charge" (fourth blend of the company & one of the most successful among their oldest, along with the "Royal", which, btw, I recommend the 15 yo). Kanpaï !
great review thx😀
Watching this since we just tried Suntory 😂
The price of Japanese Whisky has went through the roof .Twenty Years ago you were getting it for such a good price .Great investment.
