- Two stunning fourth-quarter goals from Jack Graham has dragged an inaccurate Richmond to a 13-point win over a gallant Sydney at a wet and wild MCG.
It's a crucial bounce-back win for Richmond after a highly disappointing thumping at the hands of Brisbane, the 12.16 (88) to 11.9 (75) victory pushing the Tigers to just two points shy of the top eight.

Dusty’s goal is the cream on the cake and Jack graham’s goal is just amazing, great win for the tigers C’MON
Goals he got 2.
no his end goal that he scored to make the fat lady sing
@@toxicpoison-j8t 🤣🤣
Great fightback from the tigers in the 2nd half. The swans looked good with their pressure around the ball as well as their ball use early, but the tigers were able to lift their pressure game and were able to get on top in the clearances to run out winners.
Yeah great 2nd half
I feel sorry for the young tiger (first game)
Out with a foot injury (within 3mins)
Even got his family to fly down to Melbourne to watch live
What a game!!
Just a nail of the coffin in what has been a very miserable season where most of our players just can’t execute. I mean, we do play well at times, but it feels like in the 2nd Half of games, we just simply give up, especially in regards to the midfield and Backline.
Here’s hope that the Swans can do what Port have done this season.
fr such a great start and then once again we crumble so quickly under pressure and momentum
Gulden has been phenomenal, got a good one there.
@@matthewfiluk2886 he plays like a 150 gamer. He's been the highlight in a terrible season
@@imalwaysright absolute facts. He’s like Paps in 2020 with how good he’s been in a down season.
I watched this game I was so hyped because I’m a Richmond fan
Me to, atmosphere was electric when graham and Martin scored the last 2 goals everyone went crazyyy
Gee it must be nice to be a tigers fan. The club is in such safe hands and rarely see failure, same with Collingwood
I went to this game one of my favourites
they didn't win a premiership for 37 years though....
@@gm1682yep but they never really see a rock bottom like Dees, Eagles and Fitzroy do
@@footyflamez7455 There have been times that the tigers have been through their darkest days back in the 90's when they had the "Save our Skins" campaign as well as from 1983-2016(Did not make a grand final from that period I don't think) they have only made the finals 5 times (1995,2001,2013,2014,2015). This has all been moved on now based in recent years. I do agree though that there were some other sides such as the Dees, Fitzroy, Dogs, Saints etc that have had it worse though.
@@gm1682 Plenty up to 1980 though.
The way Sydney fumbled this game was shocking. I'm angry for them! What is this 7:01! 2.5 minutes left to go, all they need is 1 point, pass the ball to Fox! McInerney holds on too long, they lose it. Seconds later they get another chance from an intercept, but instead of taking a shot or having some composure, Rampe rushes it back in, and a Tiger by himself intercepts. From that point, they're done - Tigers go on to score consecutive goals, game over. 🤯🤯🤯🤯
they always had oppurnities even against the cats. They also need to learn to kick straight. ad do to well undr enormous pressure if they want to make finals.
Bro this is what exactly what I felt last night, they shoulda kick long to the goal square which woulda put enormous pressure on the tigers and even if they got a behind at least the ball’s in their forward half and can set a zone to keep it in, costly turnovers ruined them
@@namos3369 or take your time and find a better target. There were Swans pointing to a lead. That sequence of play gives me a headache 🤯🤯
@@imalwaysrightI agree. Bombs inside 50 don’t work against the tigers. They prefer the chaos. Clean concise passes inside 50 are where it’s at.
When we're behind we never mind, we fight and fight and win !!
🐯
That's a great comeback
What a game loved it the whole way through
As a Tigs Supporter i didn't ,only second half.
Great game to watch. Can’t believe Buddy will never play at the MCG again though.
So glad these simples titles are back, I was actually able to find this video I wanted to see😂
Saw Sydney at the airport this morning, seemed pretty happy go lucky after that poor loss
actual? that’s mad disappointing
@@papleylivesrentfreeinurhead not that deep but I heard em cracken jokes aha
goosebumps.
If Sydney actually knew how to close out a fkn match they could be embedded in the top 8. Let this one slip with some stupid kicking and decisions in the second half and should’ve won last week as well. That’s not even including losses against gws and port that they should’ve won. And 4th quarter fade outs against Melbourne, Collingwood, st Kilda and Brisbane. They need to hit the trade period and reset, not a horrible season but a season that really could’ve been better if they closed out matches
Toby's dirty hit in the 2nd was awful, no need to elect to bump in that situation unless you're trying to hurt the player, if you think he has the ball, tackle and bring it to ground. He chose to bump way too late and got him high. Similar to Stuarts hit on Prestia last year. I'm guessing it will be 3-4 weeks and with Richmond not doing to well this year that could be the difference of them making finals or not.
Wasnt similar at all, way less decision time and Nank is much taller than him and basically got unlucky. Yes, cleaned him up, but no intent for serious harm like the stewart scenario.
@@jackcrook4435 was similar, both ran through their opponent after they had already disposed of the ball. Being taller than your opponent isn’t an excuse to hit them in the jaw with your shoulder when they don’t have the ball. 3-4 weeks easily.
@@jackcrook4435 that is a 3 weeker
I hope Alister Nicholson calls the Bulldogs and Collingwood game tonight...hope James Brayshaw is on holidays.
🏈 I expected Sydney to win.

I’m not a swans supporter but I like them and we lost to Richmond stuff us and the end result really pissed me off
To sum up Sydney’s season in one word: “FCK!”🤦🏻♂️
someone correct me if im wrong, but can you take the ball from a bounce/ball up as a ruckman and if you get tackled without releasing (prior or not) be penalised for holding the ball? or is that only for a throw in? i thought you have prior as a ruckman because you're supposed to hit the ball out not take possession. Nank took the ball from a bounce maybe 5 times throughout the game and was never pinged.
Used to be a rule but was changed a few years back from memory
3:33 - 3:40 miss him 😢
I love it Sydney choke
I bet you do, little fella. 😂
Little fella? Bruh
Umps were HORE**** IN THIS GAME 🤬🤬
Nice game
I can see both these teams finishing bottom 4 next year. My 2024 predictions would look a bit like this:
1. Adelaide
2. Collingwood
3. St Kilda
4. Western Bulldogs
5. Essendon
6. GWS
7. Brisbane
8. Fremantle
9. Port Adelaide
10. Hawthorn
11. Melbourne
12. Carlton
13. Geelong
14. North Melbourne
15. Sydney
16. Richmond
17. Gold Coast
18. West Coast

$10m and 10 years for Buddy and 0 flags.
2 coleman 4 all australian top 3 best and fairest 4 times
Franklin has won 2 premierships with hawthorn but he has played in 6 grand finals
Sydney honestly should be last have never had any hope at all
It was clearly played by 2 bottom 8 teams who were both highly rated at the start of the year to finish top 8 and by some top 4. Both should book their snow season holiday while they still can as neither will play finals this year.
Whilst this is true the Tigers reasons are obvious we don't have a functioning forward line and too many players under 30 AFL games but next year will be different.
@@georgegeorgio1751oh and Sydney’s reasons are any different 🤣 losing 10 of your grand final 22 during the season and has one of the youngest teams in the comp.
Just to lose to west coast next week
you wish
So, is the Richmond Football Club going to appologise to Sydney and Buddy Franklin for their fans booing him? 🙄
