Tony Jay. He's dead now. RIP to one of the deepest, most badass voices in voice acting history. He may have ended up playing a lot of villains because of it, but every one was awesome.
Writing of this scene and Sheena Easton's awesome/ridiculous accent really makes Annah of The Shadows something pure. Annah is so afraid she is crying and The Transcendent One will see it. From all the tormented beings The Nameless One dragged to this fool's errand of his she was least deserving of the pain it would cause her.
"DOES THE ONE YOU TRAVEL WITH *MATTER* TO YOU?" "He means more ta me than meh life." "THEN... DIE..." ^ Made me feel soooo guilty for choosing Fall-from-Grace over Annah. :(
Nothing more tear-jerking than watching your companions choose to die for you. Actually felt bad being able to do nothing but watch. Then enter the final fight and there they are dead right in front of you. Ok it's possible to get them back depending on what you say but even then it's still bone-chilling :(
Then it is heart-warming to see The Nameless One resurrect them one by one, tell his personal farewell to each and every one of them and return them to where they belong.

Others have already become messed up because of their own choices before The Nameless One got involved in their lives and as such he really could not help their Torment. Annah had emotional maturity of teenager so she "would get over it" as cold as it sounds. Some Torments were beyond The Nameless One's power to do things.
I found it very sad, particularily because I did not like Annah too much, and kept her around for her skills. And it kind of felt as if I had set her up to become Deionarra 2
yes! its so weird as i was really kind of oblivious/didn't give af about her for most of the game but it really is so well subtely told. i even kissed that old hag when she transformed into fall from grace infront of her and didn't properly think much of it.
@owlflame: I think it's from the Deionarra's prophecy: "[...] there you will be ask to make a terrible sacrifice, my Love". They're trying to help TNO but finally give their lives.
As far as I remember if you have played your attributes and conversations correctly you were able to resurrect everyone TTO killed before the final combat
@owlflame: Well, I'll tell you anyway, and no, I don't feel blamed because I think it's good if I can answer a question (even if it's a long time ago). You may resurrect all your characters of your party if you do the right action with the Transcendant One once you meet him.
first off i was referring to why the game designers made you run through this hell hole alone and made the team i grew to know, love and lvl are all dead now. second and i dont blame you too much for this. if i leave a comment and it's just sitting alone for 4 or more months chances are i forgot about it and stoped caring

Man, after the transcendent One killed Annah, i was like "IT'S ON!!!"

@@vksasdgaming9472Then you realise that aside from Morte and Dakkon all your companions are left with their personal torments unhealed.

This game made me want to cry.

I always hated this scene. I remember the first time I played it, I had to go through a few kleenexes. I nearly lost my will to continue.
@Thagomizer yeah I'm a guy but there were moments in this game that had me close to shredding a tear (not this scene though)
why do the charecters have to die?!?
rly? well thanks for telling me
