These are awesome. This is the analogy "Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime." You teach people how to "fish"
This gave me an idea, I'm going to look back on some of my old vods and see if I can track my own habits and "make reads" on myself. From there I can gauge how I can vary my own play better and make changes. Good content as always, Vermanubis!
I’m playing a bit of the Belmont’s and this sort of idea is something I’ve considered, so I’m glad there’s a concrete explanation available. My frames of reference for them are: what do they do when I throw a cross, what do they do at the ledge, and how do they approach me, with the intention of capitalizing on their strong on stage presence. I may also want to look for how they edgeguard me because Belmont recovery is very weak
Just wanted to say I really appreciate the rigorous language and scientific approach you take to these videos. I can really get a sense that there is a lot of thought and care put into each lesson on here. The fact that you go into detail not only on the subject of each video but also how to integrate them into your play with concrete and abstract examples is really excellent. It really helps me fully digest what you're saying and make sense of it in a meaningful way. Thank you!
Really helping me think during a match. Having a mental checklist in your head, sounds easy but it isn’t. I can do it because I believe in myself. As a Ganon main myself, this is amazing to hear this video.
Another excellent one! This is something I struggle with - I think that you encourage people to create their own categories but still give useful tips and examples of how you break it down. Also “Pavlovian Yeeting” what a phrase
I was very much looking forward to this one. Beyond helping me refresh my view on how I adapt myself, a handful of people at tournaments have asked me about how to do this recently, and I didn't have the command over the English language needed to give them a good answer. I'll send them your way next time I see them!
I know this video is over a year old, but it just popped up in my recommended since I’ve been watching a lot of your videos recently, and you don’t know just how quickly I clicked on it. This is exactly the question I’ve been having recently: How do I classify my opponents so I can read them better? Love your channel, your videos are extremely helpful
I love how you put so much effort into giving a mindset that everyone can work in and become comfortable with, it really helps with actually learning the concepts. I look forward to the next video :)
Thanks again for all of the videos in this series, the information presented is invaluable and has helped me tremendously over the past few months as I've been working to prepare for tournaments. Just attended my first last Friday and placed 9/61 thanks in large part to your videos!
Good vid. Although there’s a tendency that tends to make the process easier and that’s to look at the opponent. Simple enough but it’s a tricky habit to implement to your play considering it involves sub consciously knowing where your character is at nearly all time.
Im no expert, but generally you want to have combos/setups memorized for every percent range and take into consideration your opponents character and habits for how you want to rack up damage and close out the stock. It may not exactly go according to plan 100% of the time and its a lot of work honestly, but its better to have some sort of gameplan than just look for stray hits. Hope this helps a bit!
If my natural caveman instincts aren’t good enough to counter being yeeted upon, then how come I went 2-2 at my local last week!? Smh another useless click bait

Ayy, patience is something I really need to work on. I'm glad you're gonna make a SmashConceptions about it

Holy shit, I'm playing through Tales of Vesperia right now, and I've watched this so much I instantly recognized the music! Excellent taste

This is something I was working on in the past months so having this video helps a lot
This is why is it important to mix up defensive options
The set in the background was hype, kept me to the end of the video lol
can you narrate LoTR for me please thanks
always have something meaningful to say. i never regret a second of your videos.
thanks for your no bullshit videos man.

Everybody already does that tho lol. Its like rule #1 for fighting games
That’s why it’s so important to have a main
As always pristine. Keep up the good job, Verma!
Ty for this vid papa, this kinda helps me understand more what i was missing out on my mental frame
Wonderful video. So glad to see this channel growing!
Love it, Verm! You’re an inspiration in and out of the game.
The next topic being patience excites me! Because it’s something I don’t have and I want to develop it 😁
A video for each character's innate & variable options? A new challlenge appears!!
characters don't have variable options, players do, watch the video again, maybe this time you actually pay attention
Very Useful video!
thx so much for your videos!!!!! like they really help me understand the game better.
Love the tales of vesperia music
Hey, could you talk about thinking ahead? I’ve heard it’s what you always want to be doing, but no one’s given me a framework of what it looks like

I don't understand why people do not speak about that
Hmmm... Whisper Words of Wisdom, This was very helpful... Many thanks...
Nice, i was having trouble with this
You right.
Whats the song name you used in the background
Thanks for the tip
Name of the song at the beginning please?
(great vids as always!)
Is this your music,? going through most of your vids and the songs are awesome
#KingOfDarkness I thoroughly enjoyed this, thank you so much for the wonderful content and the depth of explanation!
Did you get the new mic? It sounds great!
Commenting for the algorithm
What is the checklist? Can you post it? I’m improving thanks to you!
Hey Verm, great content as usual but I would have the commentary a bit louder. It's hard to hear even at max volume.
I wish you were my dad. *smiles*
Good vid I will anaylise this, make my own situations to think of and think about what may benefit my solo main Pikachu
lmao
