Also, Pikatsso's name is based on Pablo Picasso, the artist that made his own art style called cubism.

Mugo Urth well I guess your right, but I have seen a lot of these kinds of games and mostly all of them are very hard, however I seen gameplay of later levels of this game and I suppose it does get harder,
But still it isn’t comparable to the difficulty of most of the games
@@bargleboof4557 it's still look super hard except for that ex-boss. He looks surprisingly easy compared to the other bosses. That's fine by me though since I absolutely despise Megaman X.

Catbag is probably a reference to Boshy from I wanna be the Boshy (Exclamation mark on body, gun) while Icecat is probably a reference to Cirno, from Touhou: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil.

The creator of this game, as same as the original I Wanna Be creator, based their bosses on original bosses from other games. But, being I wanna be The Cat a pay game, they had to change their names and appearance, to avoid copyright.
Why were these boss references chosen again? I get The Cat and Katmilla (Final bosses of other fangames) and Catbag (Previous protag) but why the others? Were they in other fangames?

I think Pawkat should be named Pikatchu, Nyanko should be Katsune Miku, X01-Cat should be Megacat and Alukat should be Katula. I dunno if you agree or not, it's just my opinion

Nah, that's Mr. Shine. You can fight both Mr. Bright and Shine when you encounter them later in the game though.

It is pretty easy but with the new Magic Tower mode it is actually pretty damn difficult.

How did this game get away with parodying so many iconic characters for money? I thought parodying/referencing to such a large amount and game costs money is bad, but this got a pass.
I'm genuinely curious here, how does this sort of thing work?
The developer specificaly mentioned that topic when the game was still in development, because usage of copyrighted content is the main reason why "I wanna" fangames can't be monetized, and that he had to "work around the copyright". My guess that as long as people don't use the direct images of copyrighted characters, it is fine. It's like "It's not Mario, it's a cat plumber OC!"
