Anyone else go down a RUclips rabbit hole of test animations like this? I’m not even like someone interested in learning animation these are just really cool to watch
At times it can feel like a character would just quickly lock onto the next key pose instead of transitioning into their next action smoothly. This creates a bit of stiffness despite how great the poses are. Animators like xenophoss are a great example of some flowy movement which keeps the poses clear concise while keeping the movement natural. Despite this, you continue to improve and innovate with your simple yet stylish and well composed animations. Keep up the good work.
Really? I feel like i got a lot of people to watch my video, well that's at least my impression of it bc i certainly didn't expect 20k ppl to watch it and over a thousand to like it over the course of like 3 months lol
first of all, this is awesome. really great work. I've actually been learning how to make animations like this lately, and your videos do help when I don't know how to animate certain things. Are there any tips you have for 2d animation? like which software is better or how impact frames should be done? also i read one piece too which arc are you on
I think when it comes to choosing the "better" software I think it just comes down to personal preference by trying each one out, for example I tried using clip studio after being used to adobe animate and I wasn't a fan of it although I always make illustrations on that program. I think the key is to just spend enough time on each software to judge by yourself which one is the best for you
Also I don't think I'm the best person to ask when it comes to this since I only started this a year ago so I'd recommend you this video called "12 Principles of Animation" by Alan Becker for starters which you can use as a way to practice your skills. Ngl I personally didn't even watch the whole video bc I was too impatient and just jumped into it. What I do for the most part is add 2 keyframes that display that there's going to be a movement between the two and for that I draw the poses that come in-between that serve pretty much as a bridge for the two keyframes. As for the in-betweens I usually think about the speed, timing and length of the action as a whole so it's important how many frames I add in-between two keyframes and how I place them or what poses the characters do so the tweening looks natural enough. This is what I've been doing basically and for the most part I think it works pretty well but idk if this helps
Oh and also USE REFERENCES, I actually didn't use many references when I should've and you can probably tell, I only used references for specific angles in a few scenes and all the impact frames since I'm more or less well-rounded in anatomy but should definitely use them regardless
Ok First Of All Why Are you Good At this Second Of All Why Are you not Famous yet This World is so cruel To Underated Creators Such As Yourself Bravo My Good Man You Truly Are a Great Hidden Artist!!
Lmao thank you man but you know it is what it is and I don't mind being lowkey in terms of popularity since I only worked on this for fun and liking sakuga scenes a lot even if it took me over a month to work on this but still I appreciate it haha
@@lbozo3049 nah you're doing too much lmao I only started this like a year ago and haven't even made that many animations to begin with so what im doing right now probably isn't that much compared to others. Plus there's some insane animators that rly deserve the fame they got but unfortunately there are those that are equally as good but go unnoticed and that's just how it is yk
would have been a nice touch if the dude who got packed up hit the ground a few times to really show the force he was hit with. Like in smash. Good animation.
Honestly the best you could do to learn how to draw impact frames is to look for scenes in anime with impact frames in them, I went on sakugabooru.com to look for some scenes and the website allows you to look at em one by one so I used them as references. At first you might struggle to make them look smooth enough so you should definitely experiment with it often times, this is actually my first time drawing impact frames and I took my time working on them to make them look good enough. Also thank you !
I actually got inspired by jujutsu kaisen by the way their auras move n stuff but I did notice how it kinda looked similar to hxh after I finished the animation
You're awsome!!! What do you use to animate? I'm a noobie in animation so i would really appreciate to know where you do this high quality animation, thanks in advance
Yeah while working on the rough draft I wanted to do some research on that and refine some things but at some point things got so tedious that I left things as they are right now. Will definitely make some more hand to hand combat in the future tho

There's so much improvement comparing it to the last animation, keep up the good job! :D
Thanks! I definitely will

i listened to metal while watching this

I think the RUclips algorithm doesn't let people know your video.
