Happy, Scratchy Bears

Rancher conservationist John Zehnder has been monitoring the movements of endangered wildlife at the periphery of his family ranch in the Rocky Mountain Trench near Invermere, B.C. for years, through personal observations and imagery caught by camera trap.
From his infrared nighttime, and daylight footage, I cut together clips of a grizzly and black bear marking territory and relieving their itch at a popular scratching post, and an elk, deer fawn and owl reacting to the smells left behind.
