Considered for three Grammies, actually. Hellfire and The Way You Make Me Feel are both up for a possible Arrangement nod, while the latter is also up for Best Traditional R&B Performance.
That actually fills me with so much joy. If we're being honest voiceplay isn't a super massive group and while it's part of the big three for acapella I feel it's still really overlooked so for them to be considered for nominations for several Grammies just makes me so happy. When you watch it again, watch Cesar after Layne sneezes on him. When Eli turns to yell at him he looks so dejected. Cesar is just so adorable as the sneezed on, then picked on, soon-to-be zombie. His expressions and his gestures just cry out “but it wasn’t my fault Dad!” J is trying to get out through the door, similar to the original Michael Jackson video. (Because we just can’t have horror films where somebody tries to get through a locked door.) I love how his voice is so tremulous like he’s really scared that the guys are going to get him. Oooops! They did!🤣 🧟😳🎃🥕🤧👻😱🧟♂️ (J also released a single, I believe on the same day. He’s performing TGIF Glide with Stefan Salters and some of the VoicePlay family is in the video toward the end when they’re doing the glide. I love how they’re such good friends and want to spend time with each other. J even brought the crazy motorcycle/mini Batmobile apparatus to the studio so the guys could see it. That little contraption is featured in J’s video.)

Kathy really got a kick out of it too, I'm glad she didn't find it a drag. And your reaction is a blast! Okay, I'll stop, sorry. My favorite line-up too, songs with J. None and Cesar have their own playlist on my phone. And yep, this one topped even Valhalla Calling for me, which I didn't think could happen. Yep, Kathy strikes again. Fortunately, she found Greta Gruesome doll with a costume like hers. Geoff sure stepped up to Vincent Price levels. Remember Layne can't resist using those carrots to annoy J None.
Notice the carrot through Layne's head toward the end? I see that the carrot joke between Layne and J.None is still going strong. 🤣 And I love how the lighting is green for normal scenes, green when things are tense, and red for the biting and horror areas. NICE!

And then how they take the mix further to the back as they fall, one by one, to make it seem like the uninfected are more and more isolated is just *chef's kiss." And then at the end during the final make up reveals, the "Ah" looks like J. None and Eli are looking at them and screaming together at the monsters they're surrounded with, only for Eli to be revealed as a monster, too. No wonder J. None tried to escape! Immaculately sung, perfectly acted. The theater kids have pulled off a masterpiece!

Instant top 5 for me and going straight to the top of my Halloween acapella playlist. The arrangement was "killer." How can Cesar be an adorable zombie? How??? Your face at Geoff's Vincent Price impression was the same as mine: eyes wide, mouth dropped, hands covering my face, shivering with fear while trembling with excitement. I was also thinking, sadly, there is no way Casper can watch this song. He can listen at least. Admire the music, just skip the video. I also have a phobia to something rather silly (balloons) and it sucks. You know it's irrational, you know they can't hurt you, it's just images on a screen... but it's severe, and it can be debilitating if you see your phobia in public. I've had full-blown panic attacks, paralysis, and memory loss. Phobias seriously suck.
