    In solidworks I prefer to first get the unit airfoil in the same way by making a curve with xyz points. Then I draw the chord line for control and convert it to a sketch block. Then you can import the block wherever you need the airfoil, explode the block, and then drag the airfoil curves to the desired chord length and angle and constrain. I'm a new NX user and am having difficulty finding a comparable method ...

    how would i be able to change the chord length using the first method? when I input the points the chord is about an inch. how can i make this bigger with the proper proportions?

      You could try using scale sketch or make a geometry and scale the geometry.
