I liked the older GW sockets, GW really gone backwards on most things .
ICON like any brand has a few gems that worth making most of especially if got a coupon or 2 going, works out better for more pro use as likely get more payback out of current easy warranty .
Another brand that good product and value for hex and torx socket sets is Capri, hold out pretty good & they done a few good sale deals on them in last 12 months .

Project Farm did a video a few months ago on wrenches. And Gearwrench was a high and solid performer. On his rubric it tied with Snap on.
Obviously SO is better. But GW still managed to get points in places.
2:45... I have seen that before where actually buying more is cheaper than just buying one set ...
also it probably doesn't hurt to have a set of SAE around you never know when you're going to run into something that somebody else cross threaded into place that is a standard bolt or nut and not metric... run into it from time to time
13:15... I have the Vessel Impacta that a lot of these are copies of maybe even rebrands... the Vessel was the original...
they work, if you're doing something quick and you don't want to have to pull out your big impact driver which I also have... never hurts to have both but these do work
Advanced auto has a yellow led portable drop light if you are looking for one and I have not used them yet but I have a sunex 1120ss 20pc screwdriver set and the new design gear wrench screwdriver set also a 20pc set and I remember having to get the rotor brake parts screws out to the the rotor off, but in the case I had to deal with it was a brake drum on the front of a 70 Ford F-250 ranger 360fe 4spd truck fun,fun, fun that is how two of the straight blade great neck impact driver bits got tweaked but didn't break and got all 6 screws out

I have the chrome great neck impact driver handle but I'm missing all the screwdriver bits except the two straight blades but only because they are broken, and I have a black phosphate coated USA made craftsman impact driver handle and has only 3 Phillips bits but the Dr needs oiled keeps getting stuck but the bits are not made the same as the great neck so they don't interchange so I am not sure what to do there.

I have a set of the of the Icon long hex socket set(metric), I've really only used to remove center caps from wheels so far instead of grabbing a shorter on with an extension. Lol but they seem okay 🤷🏽♂️
Or wait, they've also come in handy doing intake manifolds as well! Lol
that's a nice little lit you scored there Bryan seems like it might be good, only time will tell. have you seen the new Icon lights they have at the freight now? seem to be an upgraded version of that old Braun light. I have to say the freight seems to be listening to there customers, they have fixed everything that was wrong with that old Braun light and added the type c port as well. but the battery is non removable that was a mistake as that was one of the good features about that Braun light.

Why didn't you buy impact 1/4 drive gear wrench makes me I have em I love em but get the chrome off the the guns
You know what Michael, your right! honestly I wasn't even thinking about 1/4 Drive Impact sockets. Damn that would have been the way to go.
@@Bryan916 well wait till the holidays for buy one get ones.....I bought the gear wrench impact 3/8 sae/ metric kit and got the impact 1/4 sae/ metric kit free, gear wrench usually has good deals

Looks like solid pickups except for that impact screwdriver set. Not going to lie got a warm and fuzzy feeling looking at those icon Allen sockets. How is that light working for you?
