True. Rammstein became a global phenomenon. Eisbrecher and Megaherz tried but didn't hit as high as Rammstein. Sad but true. All three bands kick ass equally regardless of fame.
One of the greatest things about Eisbrecher, you dont have to understand the language their beats and the way the vocals come off are universal and surpass all languages. Also it helps that their site offers the lyrics in english to xD but thats besides the point
KMFDM formed in 1984.... And Skinny Puppy (though I haven't listened to them much) in 1982. Kraftwerk of course pioneered electronica, but KMFDM was a founder of modern industrial (I reckon at least).... And they're still going.
@2bWhy Now that you mention it..he does have their resemblance. In some of Rammsteins past tours (2004), Till Lindeman looks just like Herman Munster from the the 1960's T.V. show "The Munsters".

And even then these two bands started after Oomph! who by many are seen as the original band that started the genre that is NDH. and Oomph! formed in 1989 so they possibly held a good influence in both bands when they started off.
Rammstein created this kind of deep voice industrial metal, Eisbrecher are heavilly influnced by them, but this is not bad. Not every band must be super innovative to be good

Der Meinung bezüglich so wie es ist,passt es, stimme ich voll und ganz zu. How could they have "ripped off" Rammstein's sound? The two bands don't sound anything alike with the exception of very few songs....but that happens in and out of all bands. Tell those hose heads to bite it!
Eisbrecher sounds more similiar to Oomph as Rammstein it could do. Rammstein gots more epic sounds, more kind of styles and more poetic texts in the most songs (not all). that is the reason why Rammstein is more famous!
