As a practicing clinical psychologist for 41 years I saw a lot of clients complaining of fatigue from anxiety & depression too. Over that period the rise in stress levels & anxiety was exponential. In another thread I asked you a Q that I shouldn't have and knew it after I sent it. I know you can't give medical advice & I wanted to apologize for putting you in that position. You handled it very skillfully in the end.
Thank you for that insight. You’re absolutely correct about mental health being a major cause of fatigue! No worries about the comment, it happens a lot :)
I just quit a terrible jewelery shop job. I am curling up in bed all weekend, with snacks and diving into your channel. I'll run a race to make up for it :)
Thank you for discussing this and offering suggestions that could contribute to chronic fatigue. I have been dismissed for 3 years about my chronic fatigue, not gaslit, dismissed by a cardiologist, endocrinologist, pulmonologist, primary and my neurologist would not even see me to discuss because chronic fatigue isn’t in her landscape. My psychiatrist doesn’t understand that I can’t find someone who specializes in chronic fatigue. My Dx of Hashimoto was in 2005. I have stayed on top of being monitored and gaslit with being tired over the years. Being tired and chronic fatigue are completely different. When I list the specialists it’s because I’ve been given all the tests and lab work with nothing found.
It is measurable, severe dysautonomia is present. Blood pooling in hands and legs. Orthoststic intolerence combined with increased heart rate during upright positions.
I lived for 6 years in a north-facing bedroom in a 70 year-old house in Dublin where the landlord didn't turn on the heating and I developed severe problems with extreme sinus pain like someone was squeezing my optic nerve with a pliers and splitting my brain with an ice-pick and shoving a stiletto up my snotter ! Also eye-focussing problems, dizziness, total congestion and a revolting avalanche of snot and a never-ending geyser of mucus ! Never felt so shit ! I peeled all the wallpaper off the walls and behind it they were completely black with mould. When I was sleeping, my head had been right next to the fungi-infested wall and I had probably been breathing in spores all night every night for years. Moving on - The 3 doctors I saw, including a rip-off specialist, didn't seem to be bothered at all about using tests to diagnose whether it was due to a bacterial, viral, allergic, mould or whatever infection. All of them put me on antibiotics - 9 courses in total, none of which worked and all of which just made me sicker. Their procedure was a process of elimination, I guess. To be honest, my mechanic is better and cheaper at diagnosing problems than these clowns ! Long story short -moved to a drier apt and changed to a new doctor who put me on amitriptyline for a couple of weeks which did the trick and definitely helped with the brain pain. Now I don't know if it's all in my head like a bad depression or a migraine or is it due to mould or whatever. Still have massive problems with mucus etc. It's a mystery and very confusing. Your channel Robin, is the first I've seen that addresses these problems. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and shining a light on this dark, murky recess of human existence :)
Have you had anyone evaluate your lungs? My mom had black mold in her kitchen for years and when she developed pseudomonas in her lungs, they also discovered mold balls which they refused to treat due to the ubiquitous nature of aspergillus. She never recovered before she died.
@@patriciasankey4103 I have had a lung x-ray and an allergy test and am on a waiting list at the moment for more lung tests. I'm so sorry to hear about your mom Patricia, that's so tragic and sad. My condolences to you and your family.
Just checked the prices and it seems like the test is about 400$. It’s a lot. Would you recommend any labs/clinics in the GTA who would do the testing? I’m concerned I might be affected by mold sickness. Circumstances made me move into this old house basement 4.5 months ago. Now I feel pretty sick most of the time. Went to the doctor, got prescribed steroid nasal spray. Before that I was sick with the bacterial infection, my son got 2 bacterial infections just recently. I did regular bloodwork and it came back normal. The family doctor kinda ignored the mold concerns.. not sure what to do… Edit: oh and I forgot to mention that in the beginning of September I did notice baseboards having black mold, but after the heater started going in the house it wasn’t shown again. Am I just paranoid or is it really that serious?
I’m sorry but I can’t tell you where to get tested as I only know of practitioners close to me but it does sound like it’s something worth getting tested.
My Doctor won't test the female hormones and other tests. She says I have inflammation and won't do the test for that either. I am living in a moldy apartment building I can't move from. And I am sure if I mention that to my Doctor I won't get any help there.
I’m so sorry that’s happening to you. I hear stories like this are lot and it’s a big reason people end up seeking a new doctor or going private for the proper testing.
@@dr.robinlewis Thank-you Dr.Lewis for your reply! I guess I feel rather frustrated about not being able to get some help for these health issues. I live in Abbotsford and I would come to see you in a heartbeat. I just don't have the funds and of course there is the distance and logistics of that. What I find is it's hard to know where to start because I have had the chronic fatigue and depression for years. And I do believe I had mono or Epstein Barr when I was young. Well anyways thank-you for listening to my woes! That in itself helps a great deal!♥️
Side note: If you eat food like farmed Atlantic salmon, crustations, etc. You might want to look into Para gaurd, pumpkin seeds, papaya enzymes for brain parasites. 🎉

This information really makes this health stuff understandable. Great doctor

Mosquito bites never used to bother me, since the "jab" they are 10 times worse. Thank you Dr. Lewis great information as always.

Try keto. My friend had CFS for two years, went keto, and went from sleeping 18 hours a day to just 8 within a week.
Maybe you have ME ?

Yes, this is a big problem that is common among the chronically fatigued. I did a whole separate video on this topic 😊
I used to have to scrub my walls with bleach water every week when I lived in Ireland. I also had to use the humidifier.
I should've probably used an herbal solution
Thank you for the information.
You’re welcome!
I would love to know where you studied. You are very Thorough. 🎉
Great topic, thank you good Doc!

Thank you for sharing your story. It’s important to hear as many people have similar stories when it comes to Mold.

Thank you! This was very informative. Do you know of a doctor in south Georgia or north Florida that you would recommend?
Interesting! Thank you for this informative share! Big wave from Vancouver Island :P
You’re welcome! Hello neighbour :)
I just had lots of basic tests done and everything was okay. But I don't know what the tests for cancer are. Can you list them for me, please?
That top really brings out the luster and sheen of your hair.
Most regular Doctors will think you're nuts if you ask about herbal medicine.
Yeah, unfortunately it’s not really part of their education!
What about gernany conapany testing for lyme
Also western block
You mean armin labs? They are great

What if low testosterone female ? Do you have to have hrt ? Now menopause
I wish you were my doctor although I think I would totally fall in love!
😂
How to keep yourself safe from reactivity
How much do these tests cost?.
I can’t answer that as it varies a lot based on your location and which test are necessary
@@dr.robinlewis thank you

Sauerkraut and foods that are high and vitamin C, I would also get a binder like activated charcoal
You need a binder, to carry it out of the body* ❤
Heavy metals in the body can cause alot of problems
💯
I wouldn't mind taking her on a kayaking trip in the Dolomites. Or biking through Furka pass. 🎉

All Very uncertain .. no real answer 🤓
