Good job! I did a similar thing in my son's Corvette Power Wheels over 25 years ago. I installed 2each 6volt lead acid batteries in series. He could easily keep up with me as I jogged for 1 mile daily. He would get excited at all the new found speed. After 2 years, he out grew it and we gave it away.
Just bought my daughter a Silverado and she screamed when she seen it parked by the christmas tree. She loves it she would still wake up and give out a scream and cannot believe she has a ride on truck. She is 18mo. Old and. Am already looking into upgrades she hates being stuck in grass. Love the idea on the factory forward reverse switch for them to get used to a real car. Thank you for your content my daughter will greatly appreciate it and as going to absolutely love it.
Great job. I wonder what happens to those 6V engines if you just plug it to a 12V battery. Wouldn't that also increase power, even tho it might damage the engine over time?
Just updated my nephews power wheels to Milwaukee 18v with adjustable motor power output and inline low voltage battery cut off. Lasted for about half hour with 2 kids riding in it (this is a 2 seater model) and one of the modules must have burned out. I saw it draw up to 50A in a loaded "stuck" scenario, so I'm sure that was stressing the cheap Chinese components. It drove really good up until then though.
Hahahaha. The trick is you have to seed it in the soil from scratch and use a lawn mower with a mulching blade. I try not to bag the grass clippings, unless it's a little wet.
Ok so I seen some say the broke gears some say the accessories are acting up I bought 2 24v motor and upgraded gears ⚙️ might buy the slow start slow stop but my question is if I get rid of accessories like a real race car would my control module handle the 18v swap? It’s original 6v w one motor I been told 18v would fry my car idk help idk much about wiring
So the original system had a single 6v motor and one wheel drive powered by a 6v battery and you added an additional 6v motor to the other wheel and wired both motors in parallel to a 12v battery? Wouldn't this damage the motors with too much voltage? Would wiring the motors in a series circuit be better?
I got the same thing. I can't get the motor to keep cutting out. My son rides it for 1 min. Then it stops working. Wait 10 seconds. It starts working again. What can I remove and just straight wire. To remove this problem?
This is awesome wish i could do this for my son but i think its tooo conolex for me! If i install a 12v battery on my sons 6v would it take it and run faster and longer? And potential issues? Thanks!!
Converting a 12v irerts car to 18v. Has blutoothe and lights. Want to keep the 12v for accessories and wire in ryobi 18v but cant figure out what wires to keep connected to 12 volt and motors on 18v if even possible. These new ones have so many wires now im confused. Any help or direction would be appreciated
Need to use relays to transfer power from the new batteries to the motors. Then use the original system to control the relays. I go over it in my "soft start" video.
Did you open the fuse casing or just cut it out and change it? I am simply trying to change my fuse but can’t figure out how to take the case off and can’t find it anywhere online :/
Hello Anthony, could you send me a photo of relay board from bottom and top? My relays are included in control board and I would like to move relays outside due to different voltage level.

Hi. I’m thinking about doing the same for my daughter’s car too. Could you please give a link where you obtained the motor from and what size cable did you use. 1.5mm or 2.5mm? Thanx in advance
I added a second motor and just tied into the existing 6 volt battery line. It worked at first but now the second motor and the lights will not work unless it's at a very high speed. Any ideas on the issue? Thank you

Yup, you get a lot more power.

Nice! Next video we're putting in a slow start module. We may have stripped some gears in one motor trying to aggressively offroad up a hill...😅
That's smart changing the shifter to be more like a real truck
Thanks! I figure teach him real world things young.
My main take away from this video:
I’m jealous of your insanely nice grass.
Hahahaha. The trick is you have to seed it in the soil from scratch and use a lawn mower with a mulching blade. I try not to bag the grass clippings, unless it's a little wet.
Do you have a link on where we can purchase the new drive motors?
Just got them on Amazon.

I never tried them in series. I theory if one failed the other one would also fail in series.
Did you upgrade the motors aswell to 12v or just kept them at 6V and upgraded the battery?
Motors are 12 volt.

Potential issue is the motors rip themselves apart from all the instant torque

How fast motors are spinning? My daughter have 6 Volt car and i would like change that 12 Volt system. 🤩

Twice as fast I'd say.

Please help..what need to change?
1. battery
2. Motor.
Others?
2 motors and a soft start module, I have another video for that. You can try without, but the instant torque is pretty hard on it.
Love this!
We're going to put in a soft start module next, the instant torque is really hard on the gears.
How come you didn't show how to wire everything up just in case people don't know how to do that
Didn't feel like it in this video.
They need to built these type cars with rubber tires
