Al Olli actually a lot of her long sleeve tops would be autumn/winter gear in Australia, but then I guess most long sleeved gear would be too hot for spring/summer here ;)

Anna, you can have your jeans taken in by your tailor. I know it sounds crazy, but it's actually easy and inexpensive. I have almost every pair altered to fit just perfectly.

I hope this isn't taken negatively... but is that too many clothes to constitute a capsule wardrobe? Several coats, several singlets, several jeans etc (which is absolutely fine) but surely the amount of clothes would negate the "capsule wardrobe" label?
I think she addressed this and basically said that it is indeed a lot of clothes as it's part of her job and she really likes clothes, but it's still a more mindful approach to shopping - she doesn't spend hours on Asos and she doesn't buy stuff on a whim but rather she thinks about her needs and shops at regular times, between seasons. I think that's a good way to combine having fun with fashion and being a conscious shopper!
The capsule wardrobe is a concept and you can and should personalize it to how it suits your needs and taste the best because otherwise it might be a fail. Anna is still very conscious of her purchases and can enjoy her clothes, the number of clothes one should have is very personal...we shouldn't label things so much.
I guess I unknowingly have a super capsule wardrobe. 2 pairs of shoes year long, 4 pairs of pants year long, and several shirts / sweatshirts / sweaters.
I just did this a few days ago. Decluttered my closet and actually put the summer stuff away. It’s so cold already in vienna. I love it haha Your camel coloured coat is soooo nice

Hi Anna! A little advice for denim. Do not tumble dry them ever! The heat of the machine damages and weakens the fabric making it loose it's stretching properties. Not every expert is on the same page about this matter but I've found that it actually works for me. :)
Now I want to start a capsule wardrobe just for the joy of being surprised by your own clothes. You seemed so happy when you opened that suitcase hahaha
Your clothes rail doesn't seem high enough for that long camel coat, and it's dragging on the shoes. Also, that summer handbag sticks out quite a bit and could probably be moved to give you more space. Did you ever think about putting a coat tree on the landing outside your bedroom? Then you wouldn't have to fold up coats etc.

Just a question for you - if there's an outfit that you have just popped out to have tea with a friend in (i.e. 2 hour, non sweaty activity) - do you pop that back inside your "clean" wardrobe, or do you leave it somewhere else to air out, or do you wash immediately after every wear. Same goes with outerwear (I mean, it touches the seats on the tube...and then back in with clean clothes? 😱) No judgement, just wanted to know your process :)
