2:16 HEY THATS ME!! I'm gonna say it here, this is probably gonna be a long read. I genuinely don't know what to say. I have known about arrowls decision for a couple of months now and while I have had time to process this, it is still saddening to hear you say it publicly. I know you will still be in the server and that all that's happening is that leadership is being handled over to me. But it still feels like we are losing you, at least that's how it feels to me. We've know each other for I'd say 5 or 6 years now, and I can confidently say that you are one of my best friends. I'd say I remember the day that you asked me if I wanted to join your minecraft server, but I don't really lol. I actually recently went back and read our first conversations about joining the server. I always forget that initially we didn't even have a discord for Chained Fates. It took a little bit for us to figure out it would be easier to talk with each other if we had a discord to well, talk with each other in. I don't think I could imagine that the little server with like less than 10 people could have turned into what it is now with double the people in it (yeah not everybody is that active but it's still impressive). I hope that when the time comes and I officially take ownership of the server, that I am able to lead it just as well as you did. I have some ideas for future seasons that I hope everyone else will enjoy. I know Catena is your metaphorical child and the majority of the lore set around it is yours. Which is why I don't want to trample over what you have established and done, that's why most of my plans have us exploring other parts of the Chained Fates solar system. So that I may create something new and that Catena can remain by itself with its own lore. And I know some people, including me, will want to bring over their characters or lore from Catena to whatever the new planet is. Rest assure that I have been thinking of reasonable ways to explain how characters or lore can be put into the new setting. Whatever direction the next stories for the Chained Fates universe take, I know it will be different from what Chained Fates was. While the group will keep the name of Chained Fates, everything else will be different. But every story will stem from the original, in some way or another. Think of it like a book series, the author writes the final book of a long series. The author likes writing about the setting and with the world building that they have done. But they are done with the characters from the main books. Maybe they have matured since the first book, or they have finished whatever quest they set out on. Their story is finished, but that doesn't mean that there isn't more to explore about the world. Or in our case the universe. So they write companion books or prequals/sequels to the original stories that take place at the same time or before or after. But they are set somewhere else with different characters, maybe they are related to the original characters or maybe they are original characters to the story. That's what I want the future of Chained Fates to be. In the center of it all there will be Catena, from where everything will come from. And from it there will be new stories. I'm realizing that this makes sense in my head and that maybe not so much in others but I hope I get the point across. And who knows we don't NEED a story for a season. That's how it all started to begin with anyway. We never had any planned lore when we started the first season, it was just us messing around and having fun. And from the fun we had we made a story that would go on to build the rest of the seasons. But at the core of all the seasons is the fun that we have playing the game with each other and that's what is really important. It's minecraft, it doesn't need some overarching story line to make it fun, it's us that makes playing on Chained Fates fun. And I hope that that continues on. I want to end this all with a hehe funny one liner or something so here we go. Arrowl, I think that our friendship was fated to happen. I don't know if you remember but on November 16th, 2018 you commented on my wall in the MHA amino "O h" and i replied "What?" to which you said "Nothing". That's all we said, just that little interaction. I never thought I'd see you again, you were just a random internet person who commented on my wall for some reason. 178 days later on May 13th, 2019 I applied to join JH. And the rest is history. And here we are 5 years 11 months and 27 days later, ALMOST exactly 6 years later since that first interaction, still talking to each other. So, you could say that you know. Maybe our fates were chained? That was bad, like really bad. The game.
