- Augh, toothache! Today we explore the stock box and pull a random doll to customize. To no one's surprise, I defaulted to some kind of kawaii-overload sweets themed lolita doll.
Also I should mention that not all the dolls in the stock box are for customizing... it's also where I store my finished or storebought dolls. I'm afraid someone it going to see Lilith in there and worry about her, haha. Oh, and Happy New Year everyone!!

You should close your eyes and do a random pull from the box. You could do the same blindfolded selection for the hair color too. That would be so much fun!

Dollightful You could also put themes, colours, styles etc on pieces of paper and put them in (obviously separate) hats or a container and pull them out at random! See what random dolls you can make! :)

I love how Macaroon has a really simple design with a really strong colour palette, she looks wonderful!
Oh, what if you did a doll with an 1800's type look!! It should look like the beautiful dresses and accessories in Gone With the Wind!!! You could make the face with how they likes to look, with really rosy cheeks and red lips and also dark eyelashes. And the dress would have like a million ruffles!!
Since it would already be hard to sew so many ruffles onto the skirt, you could make one of those cages with wire that they had under their skirts to hold it up and make it poofy!!

I have a random video idea that might be a fun challenge!
It might be a bit tedious but what if you picked out a few doll bodies, numbered them and roll a dice, picking which body number the dice lands on
Then you could write down some colors on a piece of paper, jumble them up and pick an eye color and a hair color. Just like a completely randomized doll, if you get what i mean.

No way it is that bad, everyone has their unique and amazing style!
to be fair, if you go in to a project with a complete idea of the end result (like you can't see it happening any other way), you're more likely to disappoint yourself. In this video, she even says she has to make do with what she has and be flexible, and in many others you can see a big difference between the concepts and the final product, like the Juwon doll. it's perfectly normal for something to not be exactly how you imagined it, but it doesn't mean it's a bad thing, either.

it’s crazy that i’ve been watching dollightful for four years now. i remember when this video was so new and it feels like just yesterday. im so happy to see Katherine grow as much as she has, and watch her work just get better and better.
Maybe after the next doll, the theme could be based off of a type of gemstone! Maybe sapphire.. amethyst.. or even emerald!

@@aliciablair2041 That was unintentional. I think prismo means more than just a small mark. Since all her dolls look perfect, a more natural one would definitely stand out.
That would be nice! I'd love to see a dill with stretch marks, even if they'd be hard to see with her usual method of covering the doll in extravagant clothing.

You know what would be awesome? A Greek gods/goddess series, where you do doll repaints and put your own spin to the gods, that'd be amazing cause there's so many different ways you could go! A modern day Zeus in a crisp suit with electric blue streaks in his hair, or a merman Poseidon wielding his trident, or even the beautiful Hera in a gorgeous peacock dress!
Or going into different mythology Hel in a loose jacket and a skirt. That would look pretty cute to be honest.

When I paint I always forget the rinse the brushes and then they get ruined..😢😭😫😢

i always do that then run them under hot water and have to kind of peel the pieces of paint out of the bristles, then after a good wash with soap and warm water they seem to work fine, i use very cheap brushes and paint though so it might not be very good
Use fabric softener it works a charm brushes will still be stained but they will work just as good as before.

I was watching you in the background and I heard you say mr super clear and I was like, hey dollightful uses that.
Would love to see your take on a more gothic lolita style, maybe just as a part of a bigger theme like the celestial one suggested. Maybe if you have a white skinned and a black skinned doll, doing a white doll in black and a black doll in white for some oreo themed kuro/shiro lolita action.
I think you should do a zodiac series where you make a doll for each celestial body and zodiac sign!

Just a suggestion, but in future videos, it would be interesting if you used Monster High dolls with different bodies, like Kala, Avea, Wydowna Spider or Peri & Pearl. Would love to see what you would come up with for these more ''unusual'' dolls, especially Wydowna.

I would like to see that too, but the thing is, Wydowna is such an expensive and rare doll, she probably doesn't even have one, and if she did, I don't think she'd customize her!
Yes, you're right Wydowna is expensive... but I guess she can get one of those Alliexpress knock-offs of Wydowna, they're way cheaper than the original.
There's a cheaper Wydowna Spider, not the SDCC one. It's still an official one but its cheaper
