Every time I hear them buzzing by I like to pull them up on flight radar, and I just imagine how awesome that job must be getting to see everything from up high. Especially when they go by in the middle of the night, the view at night must be gorgeous. Much envy!
Thanks Rob...although I'm halfway across the country now..part of me is always in LA..reminds me of being a new pilot out of KTOA in a rented 172 and whole day to spend exploring ..fair skies amigo
Great video, Rob!! I did a ride-along with LAPD Air Support about 20 years ago (man how time flies!). Debra Kickbush was the TFO that I flew with. Best job in LE!! Fly safe brother!!
Really, who is the Ahole with the only thumbs down to the great views from officers Robs office, he/she must be jealous, because I am. Great views officer Rob, brought me back to my childhood seeing the observatory again, have done a few field trips there as a kid. It's an awesome place to visit, same with all the views.
Hey Rob, hope all's well down there in SoCal. Unfortunately my family was dealt a blow by the Camp Fire. No one dead luckily, but my cousin lost her mobile home she just bought last year, my (not so) great aunt and second cousin lost theirs, and really good friends of the family lost their business. My cousin lived in Paradise Pines, second cousin/G.A. lived in Paradise and the friend's business was on the Skyway in Paradise. I guess my grandma got home (she had to evacuate as well) to a NASTY mess and ruined hardwood floors because where the power had been off for a week the fridge puked it's guts out all over the floor and everything in the fridge/freezer rotted. Luckily the fire didn't quite make it up to Stirling City though and no one looted her house... she left TONS of stuff behind when she evacuated. I'm really just glad my cousin got out and honestly I'm glad my grandfather and great uncles already passed, it would've broken their hearts to see what all is just gone now. Paradise was pretty much 95% DESTROYED it really looks like it was hit by a nuke.
Oh man. Im sorry to hear that. Glad everyone is ok, but yeah, I feel terrible for everyone up there that had to deal with the camp fire. My best friend has family up there in Paradise and they lost everything. Such a bummer.
@@MarketStreetRumble thanks, like I said at least no one died and so long as no one goes up there and loots my grandma's now that the road is open, everything should be fine but... My cousin losing everything really sucks. Our friends losing their business can get over it and rebuild.. My "Great" Aunt losing her house... we see that as kharma because she fed her own meds to my great uncle after he had a stroke so she wouldn't have to listen to him and he ended up dying without recovering. (she literally told my grandmother that) And besides she was a massive hoarder with a QVC obsession so the house was a death pit anyways. I'm just glad my second cousin and his wife/sons didn't lose their home and that the ones I care about are safe. My actual aunt also lost her car but hey she had full coverage on it so.. oh well.
Hey, I "recognised" it from GTA5 ;-) But in all seriousness, nice, very nice. The only office that has a parking-spots almost everywhere. :-) And you can't "ride" unless the weather is somewhat nice, which I suppose is a nice "perk" (somewhat) 4 wheels move the body, 2 wheels move the soul, but rotator-blades make the world move. Nice edit too, btw.
Am I right in thinking that 0:21 is where part of Dragnet (the rescuing of the virgin Connie Swaile) was filmed and 0:53 was where the 'vampire hotel' from Lost Boys was filmed?
Beautiful video, it's a shame all that multi-million dollar real estate will be swallowed up due to the very real threat of sea level rise and torrential storms due to man-made global warming.
Robs motorcycle got an upgrade!
WAAAAAAAAAY COOL ..... What an AWESOME view from the Helo !!!!
"Thanks" for sharing, Rob :) :) :) :)
Thanks !
Love that city hall shot at the end. That flag is huge!
This gave me an ear to ear grin Rob. Thank you... I desperately needed it.
Picture is Crystal clear! Awesome video as always Rob!

Very cool.
Like my instructor said, “the most fun you can have with your clothes on.”
Great video as always Rob! Stay safe!
Rob you are really improving with your Drone skills! LOL 😆🚁👮♂️ thanks for the great views of LA 👍🇺🇸
Idk if you're joking or not but he said in the description that he filled this from his iPhone and you can see the helicopter's shadow in the filming.
[-SW-] Mad_Dog_Seabee shhh 🤫 it’s a drone 😉
@@rabidseabee7229 He was obviously joking.
Thanks for sharing

i guess you've played way too much GTA 5 when you instantly recognize all those landmarks
I’m jealous of your office view! Happy holidays sir !🚁
Excellent! Thanks!!
Nice views O R!!! Thx 4 taking us for a ridealong ;)
Very nice 😃👍
Ahh the dreaded Hollywood sign hike about that time to go again 😅
Great video
Loved the views stay safe in all you do
lol kinda remind me of blue thunder, hey Rob you going to loop that thing or what?! seriously cool vid thanks for sharing bro, stay safe.
Epic office views, i love seeing the world from the air. It's a cool perspective 😃👍
You should check out the Hero7 GoPro Rob.
What software?
LumaFusion. Adobe Premiere Pro costs too much and I’m about to kick it to the curb. My videos are simple. No need for such a robust editing suite.
Beautiful
Love LA!!!
Wow
Am I right in thinking that 0:21 is where part of Dragnet (the rescuing of the virgin Connie Swaile) was filmed and 0:53 was where the 'vampire hotel' from Lost Boys was filmed?
Not sure my friend
Holy Guacamole!!!!
You have the second best job at the LAPD. The top job would belong to the pilot!
Nah. The pilot can’t shine the spot light on the bad guys and talk to the boots on the ground. Just a well paid Uber driver. Haha
Great vid, lets get more of these on that high-powered camera you used
Wow . . . Cool
Cooool
Happy Thanksgiving (I'm late sorry :)
nice view, was that you aboard the chopper that landed on the ridge,
that picked the people and dogs up during the Woolsey fires
I only know those places because gta v
These gta5 graphics mods have gotten insane.
🚁👍
Serious question. Does that whole 10 rd mag thing apply to law enforcement as well or just for civilians? Cheers from Texas.
Nope. I have high capacity mags.
The only office with multi million dollar views!
Cool. Be safe good human.
Beats my DJI Mavic 👍.
Never leave California
Luuuucky!
What's your guys helicopter called in LA? Here in San Bernardino our chopper is called 40 King

are you pilot or "jafo" ?
He is not the pilot, he is the navigator.
