He keeps referring to "strings". What exactly does me mean by that? I have never heard this term used before in this context.

I believe it's his way of conceptualising what he is teaching

I didn't know whether he was saying 'strings' or 'strength.'

You can research on thomas myers' "anatony train". Basically strings are combination of fascia, muscles, tissue that serve a specific function, eg front strings, etc

4:33 'your structure is collapsing'. Someone should tell bare knuckle boxers about that! They'd surely be grateful.

It is very real and pretty simple. BUT you need the neigong 1st. I promised my Grandmaster not to reveal as I learned how to do it 2 weeks ago. But it is very real.

The Nei Gong to develop these skills are also taught at the camp. What you’re watching in this video is only a highlight real of Master Yap demonstrating some skills; we do not publish the actual teaching online.

That's true l had to go to Penang back in 88 to learn my internal taichi as then only a selected ones were taught, so now everyone is lucky to be openly taught.

It seemed so normal at first, but it started getting a bit extra when he started talking about transferring his "E".

2:54 I've had that done to me before, the video just cannot show just how off balance you are when that forearm is on top of yours.

I just can't believe this stuff is real or has any real applications for a resisting opponent that is angry.

I could do a judo throw with a cooperative opponent and you could say that it wouldn't work against a non cooperative opponent. And you would be both wrong and right. It wouldn't always work and even when it did, it would take more work to set up and look messier. This is the same. It doesn't always work, takes more to make it work and the results aren't as neat and tidy but this doesn't mean it doesn't work.

These are for stand up grapple. Doesn't look this clean, but if you can do it,you will never lose any grappling.

It is real. I practice ChuKa Southern Praying Mantis and my student who is 100 lbs heavier and he tries to move my 1 arm with all his force and bodyweight and HE ends up moving losing energy. I was just like you, until I did it. It is very real and has nothing to do with chi. I promised I would not reveal how but I can and you can too. But you need the neigong

@@richardmcevoy946 No...you couldn't actually say that given Judo practitioners often experiment and those experiments often fail during Randori...essentially the pressure testing that is baked into Judo's training methodology from the ground up which results in Judo having the reputation that it has. This is bullshit, plain and simple...as whatever the fsck this is; is clearly absent of any pressure testing worth mentioning.
