    That was an excellent way to do that, giving us the guide price then the actual sold for price on screen. It's a wonder James May has any bikes left in his collection as he's sold that many just at the Stafford auctions over the years. Think he even bid on his own bike one year just for a giggle! Most were seemingly guided about right but obviously someone had hoped the classic bike price rise was going to keep going with that Vincent HRD Rapide selling at 41k less than guide. Had read a few months back that some of the pre 70's machines were levelling off even falling whereas post 70's were almost sky rocketing, of course that is just on the one's I'd like to buy! Missed my chance at things like the Z900 and others of that ilk when they were, what we now know as cheap, but thought back then oh that's just a bit more than I'd like to pay. Oh for the vision of hindsight or is it foresight! Enjoyed that, thank you. All the best to you both. P.S. How about trying that road out in my last video on your next fish and trip run out to Matlock Bath. ruclips.net/video/u_IvmbrQ2xE/видео.html Not for the faint hearted! 🏍😬😮😰

      I think the interest in classic bikes will go down as this older generation dies off. Hardly saw any young people at the classic show. I'm not sure the old bikes are a sure fire investment. Especially taking into account insurance, maintenance and storage.
      That road is one we've not tried yet. Unfortunately, we've not ridden much so far as it's always raining when we're free.

    Some nice gems there guys I think that May connection on the cb750 bumped the price up a bit though. Lovely Vincent's ,and those old Kawasaki Z1's still look the business and current really 👌👍

      Yep, plenty of lovely bikes. All fine if you've plenty of spare cash!
      Always good to hear from you. Cheers

    Thanks for showing us around and for giving us both the guide prices and prices fetched. Lots of lovely bikes and some in need of years of painstaking restoration. I liked the James May Honda 750 but my absolute favourite was the CBX which I think was a steal at £10,000 😯😊

    • @Banditmanuk
      @Banditmanuk  4 месяца назад

      Yep, the CBX1000 was probably the bike for me as well. Think it actually sold for £9000.00. I would have considered paying that. Valued 10.5K to 14.5K
      I think some reality is returning to classic bike prices

    Thanks for showing us. I really liked the MV Agusta at the end and the C90 with top box. 👍

    • @Banditmanuk
      @Banditmanuk  4 месяца назад +1

      I liked them all, but the big CBX1000 seemed a relative bargain at 9K
      Thanks for watching

    Amazing to see what money goes around.
    I wonder if those big ticket bikes will gain money in time.
    That 48 cylinder bike at that price ahain, I cany get my head around it! Good to see what they sold for 😊

    • @Banditmanuk
      @Banditmanuk  4 месяца назад +2

      I'm not sure about bikes an investment. Folks are certainly asking big money, but that lovely CBX1000 went well under estimate.
      When I see a frame with no engine go for more money than a half decent second hand modern bike, I do wonder??? If you're not careful, you can easily spend more on a restoration than the bike is actually worth.

    That first bike was insane. Not very practical, I love the cb 750. They were expensive bikes for sure. You are right some of them do look like that have been dragged off a scrap heap. 😊

    • @Banditmanuk
      @Banditmanuk  4 месяца назад +1

      Yep, that first bike was built purely for the multi cylinder record. Amazing that someone paid that much. Think the CB 750 probably sold well simply with being owned by James May.
      Some of those bikes looked in a dreadful state 😕

    Ey up
    Brilliant, enjoyed that. Thanks for sharing
    How many people like me were saying “had one of those back in the 70’s, if only I kept it” 😂
    In my younger days, my current bike of the day always helped finance my next bike so keeping a bike for life was never going to happen

      Yep, we're all the same. Sold my RD250LC to finance a Mk2 Ford Escort (parental pressure)

    You basically need to have a lay down whilst riding it 😂
    48 cylinders 😬
    The Benelli 750 was in good condition, not sure I’d want to part ways with £20k for it 😂
    Love the Honda cub, they’re so historic 💪
    Quarter of a million quid just sitting there 😬
    That Harley looks like it’s seem much better days, not sure it’s worth the risk 😬
    Great video guys (sorry it’s taken me so long to get to it) 😄

    • @Banditmanuk
      @Banditmanuk  4 месяца назад +1

      Yep crazy money for some, but the CBX1000 6 cylinder Honda, that was only 1.5K more than I sold my XSR900 for. Tempting, but you need to be there for the auction

    48 cylinders and British, seems like a more of one my country's projects. No engine and won't turnover.😄😄 James May's Honda 750 for me. Thanks

    • @Banditmanuk
      @Banditmanuk  4 месяца назад +2

      Yep James May's bike looked a rideable classic 👌
      The CBX1000 went for well under estimate as well.
      That multi cylinder bike is barely rideable in my humble opinion. Created just for the record

    Hi Richard & Carol
    A quick question, could the picos be done from one accommodation hub say Potes. It doesn’t seem that large an area. Many thanks Alex.

    • @Banditmanuk
      @Banditmanuk  4 месяца назад +1

      Hi David. Answer is a definite yes and probably one of the easiest ways to do it. We stopped for the week in Potes.
      There are several circular ride outs from Potes linked to our last Picos tour vids from two years ago. They are in the form of GPX files in a dropbox

      Carol & I were just talking about that today. At the very start of our previous video, I stood next to an FS1E with a price tag of £8500!
      Nostalgia only goes so far.
