2nd please pin I absolutely love your videos they are just amazing I just love you I also have a RUclips channel off my own it would ne a dream is you or any amazing you tubers like you❤❤
I haven't been in the comments in awhile. Hey Tina, just a reminder :). You're my absolute favorite RUclips vlogger. You and Banksy bring me so much joy. My new yearling comes home later this month. Excited to eventually be out there doing the bigger classes like you guys!
I'm sure that you enjoyed watching Simon work Banksy. It's so encouraging to get another opinion and some great tips . It made me smile to hear you call the new saddle she ....she needs a name 😊
Can’t help myself, every time I watch Banksy I wish there were Banksy children out there. He is such a character that my mind conjures up all sorts of shenanigans!
My Dear Tina, Banksy is moving so well. As Simon’s mother said he is tracking up beautifully. I love the way he holds his tail. It swings so gently from side to side and you can see that he is so relaxed. He really is a smashing horse and nobody would even guess his real age. Well done Tina, great job. Jane your big fan ❤️🧑🏻🦰❤️🐴
Hi Tina, that's just such an amazing saddle , Simon I love the way you comment on your parsishon. 😄😄 TAKE you for sharing that last day ,AND the lovely photos at the end .😄😄😄😊😊😊💟💖👍👍👍 Simon THANK YOU for ALL your support. 👍👍
Really interesting that you pointed out your right hand rises on the left rein. At 39:40 it's the easiest to see why. Your left shoulder is slightly lower (seen a chiro lately? Try Advanced Biostructural Correction, best technique ive ever found - helps the body help itself - and I have several buggered discs. Has Banksy had chiro and physio/massage lately?). Your left elbow is closer to your body, your left hand is then closer to his spine (L/R not height) so your upper body is slightly twisted to the right. This in turn 'fixes' your left hand and keeps weight in that hand. Subsequently the lighter feel in your right hand naturally allows it to rise. This is all connected to why Banksy holds more weight in the left rein, on the left turns and circles. Square your shoulders with your hips and bring them back as Simon said, so shoulders are balance over hips too. Focus on left leg down and around, loosen the knee down and back, left leg into right rein. Relax the left elbow and hand out to the left 2 inches (overdo the distance temporarily and it will settle back where it needs to be) and exaggerate softening the left contact when Banksy softens. Keep your left fingers relaxed and flexible on the rein to encourage Banksy to relax that side and remind you to keep the entire arm loose and relaxed. When you were playing with giving the contact with both reins your shoulder through fingers loosened right off. It's that without giving the rein away and whilst maintaining a soft contact through the straight line...elbow, wrist, hand, bit. If your upper body position is also affecting your seat bone weight distribution that could be another factor in Banksy not being so willing to stretch evenly on both reins. That would carry through to another rider sitting straight and square feeling Banksy's unevenness through habitually being ridden with you slightly off. It's not a failing, we're all a bit crooked! 😂 Is there a mechanical rider assessment horse near you? I'd be really interested to know if my observation is correct or not. 🤷♀️ Also, yes, once you're comfortable, drop your stirrups a hole and you'll find that will help with the vertical alignment of shoulder, hip, heel and enable you to drop your knees down, use your ankles better as flexible shock absorbers, dropping your heel and allowing you to use your lower leg more precisely. 😊
Wow 2hrs ago cant wait to watch love when ppl gef new saddles so clean a horse at my yard got a new saddle 2 months ago still looks new but It felt really weird but then it was so comfy lol
Tina this is SO refreshing to see! I have the exact same with my pony, we only have to change stirrup leathers and she’ll have a meltdown! I had a new saddle in November…. And we’re still ‘taking it easy’ or I’ll be risking my life! 🤣
Aww how brave of you to try salmon AND a new saddle! I’m not veg but even I didn’t start eating it til last year 😅. Simon needs to sit on my pony right nowww!! I love watching him ride
AMAZING VIDEO TINA! EVERY WHERE AT THE EQUINE SHOW I SAW YOUR FACE AND EMILYS FACE ON A LOT OF POSTERS AND BAGS AND A WALL!!!!! It would have been the world to meet you and Emily and Lucy! And I met Meg and I starting crying after because I love her so much!!! And always wanted to meet Meg! Love you all!!!!! And of course the ponies and horses!! ( all I mean by you, Meg, Lucy and em xxx)
Just unboxed my devoucoux jump saddle tonight and oiled it. Had no idea they included that bag of goodies in the box until this video! Yep, it's in mine too haha ;)
Banksy worked beautifully for Simon Tina he really is a gorgeous mover. Now has Simon got a partner if not you girls should set him up he’s such a lovely man and shouldn’t be alone . I’m happy you lot are getting better you all sounded rough. That new saddle is very nice indeed. Shoulders back darling 🤣🤣.tfs sweetheart 🤗🏇🤗
oh gosh really hoping that it isn't partially suede on the new saddle - hard to tell in the lighting. if so i don't think you're supposed to condition it. i'm sure you would have known and checked if so though!
Really enjoyed watching and your new dressage saddle is lush and it's great to see banks working well in it and he's happy with it.would you concider doing working hunter again.
Great, fun video. Lovely saddle, we are now expecting even greater things in the dressage arena. I find it very interesting seeing other people ride the horses. Personally I think it does the horse good as we riders get into bad habits, which the horse inturn gets used to. Banksy is such a superstar. Everyone who has ridden him, loves his paces and attitude. Enjoy your salmon. As it will be Atlantic, it will be very mild. Hope you kept it in the fridge and used straight away?.....(l live on the west coast of Canada, where we fish Salmon. There are 5 types, all differ in flavour, some stronger than others. )
oooo interesting to know thank you!! I did enjoy it and had it on my Hello Fresh this week too, yea definitely smells stronger than it tastes which is ideal for me xx
He picks up on your mood doesn't he? You were apprehensive about getting on the new saddle and he stepped away. If mommy's not sure, I'm not having it either. I love the subtle bling. Some young girls look like they are decked out for a rodeo.
Brantley and I are in the same “creatures of habit” boat. I know his saddle is not perfect and it could be better but trying something new literally makes me want to puke 😂 Seeing I’m not alone really helps me feel less weird about it ❤
While your new saddle is lovely, at first look it doesn't seem to fit you very well. Those big knee blocks are actually hindering your leg rather than keeping you in the saddle. Especially since you ride with short(er) stirrups as an eventer. I hope I'm wrong and you get a lot of enjoyment out of your new saddle.
I think I just had my stirrups too short, I left them on the hole that my old dressage saddle would usually have them on so am keen to try a few holes down xx

Pls consider doing a video riding in Jesse Drent's Nalanta bridle. Would love to see how he goes in it.
Will take a look at it
Hey Tina! Question for you... have you ever tried a biting specialist for Banksy?
I haven’t no…xx

Aldi do a lovely seasoned salmon which is frozen, 3 mins in the microwave is UNREAL!
