I would say the one huge standout feature that separates this phone from older flagships like the s21 ultra is the extremely fast charging. The fact that it can charge from 1% to 100% in 20 minutes is awesome.
April 2024, and I just got one of these in a Open Box offer on eBay for just $239.99 on the 128gb version, which is more than enough storage for me, and I got to say, I genuinely don't think there is a single phone that could beat this one at that price, carrier unlocked too, and being Open Box it's pretty much untouched minus a couple bumps on the box itself!
I looked into New/Open Box/Used Google Pixels (6, 6a, 6 Pro, 7, 7a, 7 Pro) and Samsungs (A53, A54, S21, S21 Ultra, S22) for almost half a year but all of the other offers compromise on something, or exceeded the $250 mark, this phone is excellent and if you find a deal on it, it's a no brainer, if you can get used to the quirks of OxygenOS it's actually a really smooth experience too, I've got zero complaints except for the fact that I need to find a case for it, I don't want it getting a single scratch.
Also, I lost my mind when the damn thing charged from 0 to 100 in 20 minutes, like... lmao.
Matt, Oxygen OS still allows you to install most type of icon packs from the play store. That's one of the advantages of having a OnePlus/Oppo phone, you can truly make it your own
Lets use logic for 1 second. Why would you wirelessly charge a phone for hours when 15 minutes does the trick?
Surprised by performance? OnePlus has consistently beat Samsung year after year.
The display and camera are decent at best, but its the best priced phone for gamers on the market.
Agreed 100% I got a wireless charger 1 time because I liked the idea but it's actual usefulness... Let's just say I used it once maybe twice
Found this for $300 on eBay. Can't complain at that price.
It's $284.99 new on eBay with a 1 year warranty. The green one has a glass back I bought one for my mom and the charger is absolutely insane. I think for $284-$300 new its unbeatable for the CPU/GPU performance for a new phone. You can get a Galaxy S23 FE that has the same CPU and I think a better camera I have both on me until I get a case for my mom for the back but those are hundreds more new unlocked.
Matt, you know you can change the icons, right? I'm pretty sure you found a way to change them. I know a lot of people are not digging the square icons. They don't bother me, though.
Out of topic do you think there is noticable big difference in stereo speakers output sound quality between n20u and s23u? S23u had boomier sound, more details than n20u? Or just a little better?

Planning to buy this phone on september
Watching this video on my 10t that i got on preorder sale last august 2022 for $649 for the 16gb ram,256gb storage ..for me its the ideal phone..especially the charging speed,processing speed, and multitasking ability as i do lots of online sales and doordash so im always on the go and love the ability to charge up full in about 15 min from 10% to 100% when im out late..its basically a gaming phone with an advanced cooling system that I've yet to have overheat even in this arid summer we're in..the pics get lots of compliments on social media without people knowing what ive took them on.only thing it lacks is great quality in zoom due to the lack of telephoto lens,but with a quick edit they're fine too.. lots of reviewers complained about oneplus adding macro lens but I love it due to the fact that if I have some small writing on something like an electronic device or fine print on papers its perfect for reading that...i came from pixel 2xl to oneplus 7pro mclaren and ive ben hooked to oneplus since. to the oneplus 8t 5g then to this and i couldnt be more impressed with the quality and specs to price ratio.. I'm only jealous that I didn't wait a year to get it for $400 , but I still have no regret on my buy and I can't think of another phone that I would want to replace it with at this time for a comparable price. maybe a year or two from now id get something but it has to have the 125 watt charger i cant see going back to regular charging.especially from these other companies who dont even provide a charging brick smh
OnePlus really is like the child of iphones performance, samsungs screens and xiaomis charging and iphone+samsungs cameras all combined together. I've never used a OnePlus phone but wish I could. I would've definitely bought this phone since it's just a lil over the price of my current phone but luck is not on my side since i brought mine last November and don't plan to change it for a while

It really be hard to go to something else, I haven't had any hiccups on performance, speed, performance it is a steal for 400.00 bucks if you can get around that price range it's running around 465.00

@@LILREBL i honestly havent had any lagging issues..i bought the phone mainly for the performance and it has more than lived up to the expectations..and it should when running 8+gen1 snapdragon processor with 16 gb ram that can handle up to 35 apps simultaneously. and even has an extra 12 gb virtual ram for even more task management..i cant imagine anything that would make it hiccup..and ive thrown almost everything at it..

The 10T is not perfect but for that 400.00 price range I haven't had no issues when comes to performance. Honestly you really don't need the ultras, folds, pro Maxes of the world to have a great experience. What I like the most is performance and charging speeds don't care about no alert slider that's petty stuff if that's a deal breaker for those who don't choose the device because of one feature missing.

@cobaltblue5523 I haven't had any complaints with the 10T Very highly underrated charging speeds, software battery life, Cameras are decent people cant always expect Hassleblad five hundred megapixel cameras anstable videos stabilizathen it'll get the job done I've now seen this phone for about 3:50. You cannot pass that deal up if you can get it for that price. To me it'll go toe to toe with any pixel, galaxy ultra iphone pro max

Battle the 10T versus the S21 Ultra
10T is better. I actually upgraded from the 21 ultra because of charging and overheating on the Samsung

@@IamJay02 oh it isn't a flagship in a literal sense. That would technically be false advertisement. But it's got performance similar to their flagship phone for less. I guess that's what the T moniker is for.

OxygenOS 13-13.1 Has bugs and issues thar hevent been resolved still yet. Battery drain and heat and cpu throttle during performance! Im stsying on android 12 and oxygenOS 12 until they fix issues or wait for stable oxygenOS 14 to be released.
